Lula just decreed a sort of marshal law for the city of Brasília.

However, from the things I have been seeing, law enforcement and the military are mostly on the side of Bolsonaro and believe the election was stolen.

So let's see if Lula has enough loyalty among the armed forces to make his decree mean something.

If not, I can't see how this does not prompt a military intervention of the kind the people have been asking for.

A dictator needs an army.

Without one, good luck...

I've seen several reports that law enforcement has cleared the buildings in Brasília and arrested some people.

I can't stand the NYT, but it has legacy credibility despite lying its ass off all the time. So take the following with a tablespoon of salt.

From a few minutes ago.

At least they have a source. "An official."

Make that a pound of salt and a ton of shit.

This is from one hour ago. And Matthew Tyrmand retweeted it.

This situation is far more complicated that you will read in the fake news media.

There is a potential collision--a real one--of armed forces in Brazil right now. It has not erupted into violence yet, but battle lines are being drawn.

This is not Bolsonaro conceding anything.

This is him using a persuasion technique called "taking the moral high ground."

This is what Trump did.

For those rooting for Lula, this is far, far, far from over.

The Army gave in, but it first showed it was on the side of the protestors.

So the issue is not a matter of kind, like it should be, but of degree.

In other words, Lula has to watch his step.

I'm seeing that he is in Florida; no hospital, though....and Reuters is painting this as inspired by "muh insurrection" on 1/6...

After watching supporters of former U.S. leader Donald Trump invade the U.S. Capitol two years ago, Democratic President Joe Biden is now facing mounting pressure to remove Bolsonaro from his self-imposed exile in suburban Orlando."

Bolsonaro should not be in Florida," U.S. Representative Joaquin Castro, a Democratic lawmaker in Congress, said on CNN. "The United States should not be a refuge for this authoritarian who has inspired domestic terrorism in Brazil. He should be sent back to Brazil."

The United States has a Jair Bolsonaro problem.

If watching the Blacklist taught me nothing, at least it showed how a hospital is easily infiltrated( help you gotta let me in) and more easily controlled once in, the people with access to the building is by design pretty easily regulated. Weird times , weird times.

I think our western liberal democracy brethren have been more overt in asserting their free press control, oxymoron intended, prerogatives. I’ve seen a lot of stories especially out of the UK about police interviews and arresting and fines of citizens based on social media postings containing ‘hate’ directed at protected classes. For whatever reason you never see stories about the platforms being held responsible , though I believe the platforms must adhere to govt ‘\advice’ on deplatforming groups. It seems the individual citizen can post without the blame pointed to the platform , but I doubt they are allowed to ‘host’ a site devoted to say an organization that claims men are not women.

Houston, we have a problem.

And it won't be too long before the public gets pissed and, hopefully, pisses all over the Deep State about it.

First the problem.

Dayaamm!

Well, hell, if you run that kind of risk when taking a train, at least you can still take a plane. Right?

Now that Lula is consolidating his power, he's starting to go into dictator mode.

And Glenn Greenwald?

He lives in Brazil. Hell, he's one of the people who helped Lula get out of jail and he fought Bolsonaro tooth and nail.

Now he's shocked about the authoritarianism in practice?

Go read that thread on Twitter. Glenn only gives a small taste of how shocked he is in the tweet above. He goes into how he has to consult lawyers now to report news.

What did he expect?

I like Glenn, but no matter who you like, if they take poison, they get sick.

Now Glenn is seeing what the reality he refused to see for a long time looks like.

And he lives right in the middle of it.

I hope Lula exceeds his powers so much, the military finally steps in.

TG,

There is some pain that has to happen before that.

Supply chains have to break down for real. And in terms of trains, that happens due to manipulating the kinds of train loads that can run and arbitrary schedules.

But it's happening.

For example, have you been to the supermarket recently? Have you noticed that eggs are getting more scarce and the prices are soaring? The powers that be are saying the Avian Flu is the cause, but the real reason is right out of Atlas Shrugged and right there among the clique around James Taggart.

Of all people, David Knight gives a pretty good real-world overview (without mentioning Rand).

Q0llkZSgkCT1_640x360.jpg
WWW.BITCHUTE.COM

A British farmer took to TikTok to expose the real reason egg shortages are hitting England and it's not because of avian flu. Find out more...

It all boils down to crony insiders rigging the structure to a game of insider pull, then demanding that the producers produce more for less.

And the egg farmers are shrugging.

This is one of reality's contributions to taking down the Deep State. They will not be able to surveil, or shoot, or spy, or embezzle, or drug deal, or war, or bioweapon, or even globalize their way out of this to make it work. Oh, they can do a short term thing here and there, but not anything that sticks for more than a quarter of a season or so. And even if they do, the foundation is crumbling so the next short-term fix has to be even more costly and complicated, etc. etc., etc.

Only free market capitalism will cure this in the short-to-medium term range. Not crony capitalism. Not government regulated capitalism.

Free market capitalism.

People love eggs. Produce them in a win-win situation where producers and consumers get what they want according to market values and the problem not only fixes itself, the world becomes a better place as the world's wealth increases.

For now, the Predator Class forgot that bureaucrats don't produce eggs. Farmers do.
