Not just losses due to lack of MyPillow products. Many, many people stopped shopping at these places. And, no, it was not due to any organized boycott. So he learned a hard business lesson about treating ones customers with contempt. They stopped buying. Lots of people are quipping that it's a shame he didn't have a bunch of MyPillows to land on. I even got a chuckle out of that, then chastised myself for the morbid humor. Then I reflected. A man like Arnal was not human to me, not in the deep part of my soul, even though another part of me knows he was. That's just the automatic emotional response I got when thinking about a person who actively worked (along with others) to destroy the foundation of my values, lock, stock and barrel, while enjoying the entitlements of elitist privilege. There is a part of me that doesn't care that this man died. It even feels like poetic justice has been served. I don't like that part of me, but, frankly, in today's context, fixing it is not high on my priority list. There are more important things to worry about.
