US 2024 Election

On a recent PBD podcast, I think the one that featured Emily Austin as a guest. Tom, one of the regulars on the panel, made a great case for Vivek as AG.

It is a rather great idea, he’s no Bill Barr, the President could give him free reign and sit back and watch some real MAGA action :)

I saw this on Styx and thought he was exaggerating a bit.

He wasn't.

Tim Pool broke Marianne Williamson's brain and it showed on her face.

:)

First Styx.

Now the clip from the interview.

Here are some screenshots of the exact moment.

Williamson was virtue signaling that all Americans deserve a fair and impartial trial. Tim asked her what if a person could not change venue because the judge said there was nowhere in the US a citizen could get a fair trial, so a change of venue was denied, she said she would absolutely speak out against that.

Then Tim asked if she extended this to Derek Chauvin. And here is what she looked like as she contemplated the effect of this question in this context on her constant "everyone ask forgiveness from blacks for slavery" talking point.

image.png

She had to close her eyes.

image.png

She opened her eyes, closed them again, then as she opened them back, said, "Wow..."

image.png

The camera started cutting back and forth. Tim talked about the principle that if a court ruled there was no way to render a fair trial, the trial should be canceled. Here was what she looked like as Tim was talking about this in between takes of Tim.

image.png

You can almost hear her thinking that all the advantages she could gain from this campaign just went down the toilet. She looks scared.

Soon after she resumed her politician's poker face and said she disagreed with Tim about Chauvin, blah blah blah, and even said in Chauvin's case it was different. An exception. Because reasons...

But the moment had passed and the damage was done.

She had shat on herself. Or Tim had shat on her. Or both. No matter who shat on her, there was plenty of shit on her on screen that was engraving itself on the audience's brain.

:)

Anyone remember the Gary Johnson Aleppo moment? That was when he asked "What is Aleppo?" Or the Howard Dean "Yaaaaaaaaaaaah!" moment?

Campaign eraser moments.

This was Marianne Williamson's moment on that level. Her brain broke.

I cannot recall the author but perhaps it was Thomas Paine … who said something to the effect that we should not confuse government with society … one for keeping our vices in check the other consisting of the goodwill extended in civility between people…

SOME writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins. Society is produced by our wants, and government by our wickedness; the former promotes our happiness POSITIVELY by uniting our affections, the latter NEGATIVELY by restraining our vices. The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first is a patron, the last a punisher.” Thomas Paine in Common Sense

so too, you have identified certain currents, systems, and forces, controlled by a tiny minority and at work in the world, with the world itself… this is a misidentification.

S,

Here is how I feel about society at the moment.

Baaaahhh, baaaahhh, baaaahhh, baaaahhh, baaaahhh...

Where's the cliff?...

Gotta jump off...

Baaaahhh, baaaahhh, baaaahhh, baaaahhh, baaaahhh...

:)

That's just a feeling, though.

The resistance is growing.

btw - I love that Paine quote about society being produced by our wants and government by our wickedness. I have quoted that several times over the years.

I have yet to see where that is not true.

Here's something to make me feel a little better.

Don Jr. floats the idea that Alex Jones should be his father's press secretary when his father gets back in office. Laura Loomer, too.

:)

Now that brings a smile to my face.

Can you image the heads exploding all over the lying-ass fake news media?

Let's not forget that Trump listens to his family.

LOL...

Anyone up for some musical chairs?

How's this for shits and giggles?

After the primaries where Trump has the nomination all sewn up, the neocon oligarchs somehow manage a brokered convention and knock Trump out of the nomination while they pile on their support behind Nikki Haley.

During the general election, Haley cannot rise above a certain level due to a massive number of pissed off Republicans, but a write-in campaign for Trump seems hard to pull off. Thus it looks like a shoe-in for Biden.

Then Biden bites the big one and sheds his earthly vessel.

Up comes Robert Kennedy Jr. as Democrat favorite as Vivek Ramaswamy switches to the Libertarian party and runs a parallel campaign against the ruling class elites.

Then the BLM riots start up again...

I love Trump and I am certain he will be elected again, but, man, that would be one wild ride...

At this point I'm just hoping they still deem it necessary to have elections.

Apparently the Dutch farmers have been rowdy for a few years, coverage on this side of the pond was such that it didn't register to me the protests there were going on for years. Now the German hoi poloi is getting uppity even after what they saw from their government with the pandemic. Hard to run a railroad on time with all these shenanigans going on!

I see a lot of people praising Vivek Ramaswamy. I, too, think he is awesome.

And I also see people like Amy Peikoff putting Ramaswamy (as perfect) way over Trump (as flawed). In fact, she gives off the vibe that Ramaswamy would excel as President in ways Trump never could and would finally get it right.

And that, to me, is one of the things wrong with Objectivists when they get involved in politics.

They don't know what they are talking about when they have to leave their armchairs.

Look at this as an example:

This is what Trump suffered for his entire first term.

I don't know how Milei will overcome this. I am rooting for him heart and soul. But this is just the beginning for him. The swamp creatures and communists are not going down without a fight. It's going to be nasty and hard.

I do know how Trump overcame it all. He steamrolled those motherfuckers.

And now that he knows who the villains who were hiding are--they had to show themselves to steal the 2020 election, his second term will blast their political power to smithereens and bomb the rubble.

How would Vivek fare in that situation? There is not enough data to say, yet.

His rhetoric is awesome.

But how about his ability to tame swamp creatures enough to get things done?

That, the taming of swamp creatures, is a context Objectivists of the anti-Trump sort always leave out. Total blank-out. And they speak in their certainties from their armchairs.

Well, you can't blank out reality. A is friggin' A.

And it won't go away because it doesn't fit a principle.

How's that for a premise to check?

:)

Trump 2024.

What's Nikki Haley afraid of?

Laura Loomer had a ticket and was acting peacefully.

Yet Haley had the cops remove Laura from a campaign event in Iowa.

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley called the police on Laura Loomer and had her escorted out of her town hall event in Iowa.

Well...

We know what Haley was afraid of, don't we?

The truth...

Since I like to look at all of it (and, yes, I know of some of Trump's skeletons :) ), the following looks like a pretty big set of bones in Vivek's closet.

Watch this and come to your own conclusion.

Was this a spun attack by disgruntled DeSantis supporters? I only ask because they have been more unethical than the RINOs on the Republican side during this primary season.

Maybe not.

Regardless, in my opinion, if all this is true as stated, with nothing hidden or overly interpreted, that still does not dampen my enthusiasm for the Vivek I see eating the lunch of the mainstream media over and over while saying all the right things for a person like me.

I figure if Vivek is going to become part of the Trump administration, which I believe might happen, at least we can know the good and the bad with videos like this one. And then we can keep an eye on him.

However, from what I see, I believe--or at least I think it is reasonable to believe--he has since vested the soldier's uniform of freedom as per the Founding Fathers and has converted big-time.

I believe in conversions and redemption. I believe in learning. And I believe good moral choices can be made at any time if heartfelt, even after being a sleaze.

We'll see...

But for now, I like Vivek.

If that is the one about  his early pharma company it’s as sleazy as that market is situated  really. Investors in the newest pill should if diligent about in drug makers markets probably knew the chemical/med history and relative expectation of efficacy would/should be on the ball enough to read reports and piece together the connection, judging on the negative side of assumed motives the first investors would probably just ride any potential raise in enthusiasm for the company regardless any degree of actual transparency. They know they are buying a chemical another pharma company no longer had interest in enough to keep. Caveat Emptor , so to speak and especially considering the motivations of pharma investors.

I still like Vivek, he’s an individual of consistent character at least public facing which I have no reason to be suspicious about, just look at his high school graduation speech , he was Vivek then too !

Rumor has it Biden will not be the nominee for the Dems due to health reasons.

The current game is to wait so long the Dem insiders have to appoint a nominee, not have one voted in. No Bernie situation this time. No sireee...

And, from what I can tell, Mark Cuban is warming up in the pit. He's already lying his ass off in public about DEI and rationalizing it up a storm.

:)

I don't know if Cuban will be appointed as the Dem candidate, but from where I sit, I believe he is the person with the strongest chance.

Some superstitious Dems can even think they can imitate what Trump did in 2016. A billionaire. Not a politician. And so on...

Rotsa ruck on that one.

:)

Elon Musk said he looks forward to Cuban implementing DEI in the Mavericks basketball team by hiring white short Asian women as players.

Chris Christie is a goner from the 2024 campaign primaries.

Probably at 5:00 pm -- don't know the time zone.

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) is expected to drop out of the 2024 presidential race, according to a report.

I mean, there goes the seriousness of this election.

How in hell can the GOP call itself serious if Chris Christie is not in the running?

 :)

Would Rand Paul make an OK, good, or great VEEP candidate to run with President Trump in 2024?

Well, here is an email message sent to me from Rand Paul.

Peter – I’ve been watching the GOP Primary closely for a while now, and I like various aspects of several candidates.

As I look over the field, I don’t have a first choice yet, but I do know one thing… NEVER NIKKI.

Well Peter, I have been telling you for months and months about your favourite Nikki.

Glad that you finally agree with Rand Paul and I.

Btw, your favourite Canadian is good with Paul for VP

About Vivek:

Look at this, where he practically said Trump will be taken out:

And this, where the tee-shirts say: Save Trump, Vote Vivek and there is a photo of Trump's mug shot on the tee-shirts:

These things resulted in this:

Text:

Vivek started his campaign as a great supporter, “the best President in generations,” etc. Unfortunately, now all he does is disguise his support in the form of deceitful campaign tricks. Very sly, but a vote for Vivek is a vote for the “other side” — don’t get duped by this. Vote for “TRUMP,” don’t waste your vote! Vivek is not MAGA. The Biden Indictments against his Political Opponent will never be allowed in this Country, they are already beginning to fall! MAGA!!!

:)

I still like Vivek, though. He's got balls and, for now, sounds good on fundamental issues.

:)

However, he did not sound like that in the recent past...
