Did anyone get an account at Truth Social?

William,

I, for one, don't use Apple and I use a smartphone as little as possible.

Truth Social is not yet available for desktop or Android. Besides, I never use a smartphone for posting online.

So gotta wait.

In compensation, Elon Musk just bought almost 10% of Twitter stock, making him the largest shareholder.

If he joins with other shareholders who loathe what cancel culture and wokeness have done to Twitter, he might help implement new policies.

One of the things Jack Dorsey wanted to do was allow users to choose the algorithms for their  accounts.

If he does that and reopens Twitter for conservative views and radical views, even hateful views, growthwise, Twitter might become a super-strong competitor for Gettr, Truth Social, etc., rather than a dying behemoth.

After all, Twitter does not need to grow an audience. It just needs to apply reason to its business practices and get the hell out of censorship.

The video below isn't particularly informative. It's just a bit of schadenfreude feel-good.

As Scott Adams said, wait until Elon starts looking under the hood of the algorithms.

:)

Also, I read in the churn that conservative writers who were banned by Twitter were consulted by Elon to make sure their banning was true before he bought the controlling chunk of the company.

I don't know if that actually happened, but it seems reasonable and people I trust are repeating this.

(No need for details for now since this is just gossip and identified as such.)

It's not available for folks outside the USA, and Trump hasn't bothered to post there, and it doesn't seem to offer much at the moment.

Here's a new Trump venture, though. Even if the gossip about Truth Social is wholly untrue, it might be a useful aggregator.

The following film by David Bossie premiered at Mar-A-Lago last night with a good chunk of the insider Trump crowd in attendance. (Several of them were in the movie, too.)

The documentary is only 40 minutes long and well-worth seeing.

The interesting angle of this film is that it focuses on only one villain: Mark Zuckerberg. And it does not go into ballot fraud. Instead, it focuses on campaign finance violations as one of the main reasons for the weird voter tallies in the 2020 election.

Bossie should know a bit about this since he heads Citizens United and was behind the suit that resulted in the Supreme Court ruling that allows for PACs with unlimited funds in elections.

From what I saw, I predict there is enough in this film to get several lawsuits going that will help invalidate the Biden election. Bossie basically laid out the election finance crimes Zuckerberg engaged in and documented them in terms near impossible to refute.

The Zuck-bucks often came with stipulations on how the people receiving them had to perform in the election. Otherwise, they had to give the money back. That's just one big honking crime right there. And that's just one example.

No matter how you spin it, $400 million from only one person in blatant in-your-face illegal campaign finance is a lot.

Noor doesn't like to be juxtaposed with her terrorist uncle Osama, but for the sake of irony, I have to do it.

Since nobody else would, it took Osama Bid Laden's niece to file a human rights complaint at the UN about the Jan. 6 MAGA political prisoners in Washington DC.

Let that sink in.

I don't even know where to begin to untangle that one.

Zuckerberg Ends Controversial Grants to Election Offices

Quote

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, who in the 2020 election cycle flooded election offices across the United States with hundreds of millions of dollars in grants, won’t be participating in such grantmaking this year, according to a spokesman.

Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, made $419.5 million in donations to nonprofits—“Zuckerbucks” or “Zuckbucks,” as some have called the money—$350 million of which went to the “Safe Elections” Project of the left-wing Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL). The other $69.5 million went to the Center for Election Innovation and Research. The CTCL reportedly distributed grants to upward of 2,500 election offices.

Zuckerberg spokesman Ben LaBolt, who was previously spokesman for Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, said the donations were a one-time deal.

“As Mark and Priscilla made clear previously, their election infrastructure donation to help ensure that Americans could vote during the height of the pandemic was a one-time donation given the unprecedented nature of the crisis,” LaBolt told The New York Times on April 12. “They have no plans to repeat that donation.”

. . .

The donations spawned a series of lawsuits across the country. For example, last month, the Thomas More Society filed a complaint with the Wisconsin Elections Commission claiming that Milwaukee officials were involved in an election bribery scheme for accepting election-assistance money from CTCL, as The Epoch Times reported.

Grants to election administrators created “a two-tiered election system that treated voters differently depending on whether they lived in Democrat or Republican strongholds,” Phill Kline, director of the Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society, wrote in a report in late 2020.

“This privatization of elections undermines the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), which requires state election plans to be submitted to federal officials and approved, and requires respect for equal protection by making all resources available equally to all voters,” Kline wrote.

Several states, including Florida, subsequently banned private donations to election offices.

Bossie did his job well and Zuckerberg headed for the hills.

He couched his retreat in high-sounding phrases about guaranteeing elections during COVID, but this is no longer needed. Well, that's just peachy. The bottom line is that he flagrantly broke the law in several ways and now knows he's been busted big time.

You can bet he has his own lawyers all over this.

But they're coming for him.

Just wait until Dinesh's movie comes out about the mules ballot harvesting in 2020...

A new phrase is arising to characterize the MAGA insistence on cleaning up the 2020 election fraud, which is now going way beyond MAGA--it's including a huge number of people in the center and even many on the non-woke left:

The wound that will not heal.

And that's as it should be if the American promise is to be kept. Nobody should be able to steal an election in America, much less a presidential election. That is a direct affront against We The People by a self-appointed chosen few in the predator class. Now those chosen few have to be taken down by We The People and that is exactly what is happening.

The good part is that we get to watch it all up close. We are living through an important time in American history somewhere akin to the importance of the Civil War.

Here's another scalp David Bossie got.

RNC Votes to Withdraw From Commission on Presidential Debates

The Republican National Committee (RNC) voted unanimously Thursday to withdraw from the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD), which governs the ...

This took months to get done. And notice that the voting at the RNC was unanimous. That means anti-Trumpers and MAGA people voted for the same thing--all unanimous. Rigged presidential debates by the Commission on Presidential Debates are now a thing of the past. Their last super-toady was Chris Wallace doing the debate between Trump and Biden.

If you want to see how this happened, here is David himself talking about it.

David Bossie On 'Unaninimous' Vote Within RNC

This is what a bottom up change looks like. MAGA Republicans are getting elected and appointed to local (county, city and state) positions all over America. Now Zuckerberg has backed away from them. Now the RNC itself has left the Commission on Presidential Debates. This is just the beginning. Much more is coming.

MAGA people have been working for months and months and months to get all this done and now the tree they planted and nurtured is bearing fruit. It's called the tree of liberty.

Watch what's coming...

More good news--Wisconsin.

State Supreme Court Tosses Democrats' Race-Based Election Map, Replaces It with Republican Alternative

Untitled-design-2022-04-18T121235.013.jp
WWW.WESTERNJOURNAL.COM

The state's Democratic governor said the ruling shows democracy is under 'near-constant attack.' It actually shows the opposite.

Quote

The Wisconsin Supreme Court delivered a serious blow to Democrats after rejecting the left’s redistricting map and adopting one drawn up by Republicans for the state’s upcoming elections.

The state’s highest court made its decision last week after the U.S. Supreme Court in March threw out the voting map for state elective offices drawn up by Wisconsin Democrat Governor Tony Evers.

With its 4-3 decision Friday, the state court issued its ruling so late that state Democrats will likely not have have time to try and fight the implementation of the Republican-crafted districting plan for the 2022 midterms, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Gov. Evers called the court’s ruling an “outrageous” and “unconscionable miscarriage of justice,” and went on to hyperbolically claim that “our democracy is under near-constant attack.”

All I can say is suck on it.

The predator class cannot win without cheating. That goes for establishment Democrats and neocon (and never-Trump) Republicans.

In this case, the Democrats in Wisconsin behind this electoral map (and, of course, Gov. Evers) are the predator class.

It looks like they lost this one.

More good news will be coming.

When the predator class does shit like the following, you know they are on the run.

They are trying to put a new Trump bogey man into the mainstream narrative since their efforts to get people scared of QAnon did a massive bellyflop in the culture.

Oh, the mainstream press sometimes talks trash about QAnon, but nobody pays attention. They don't fear it and nobody hates it. Some villain, huh?...

The persuasion principle is that you need a villain or enemy that you can get people to fear and hate. Once such a villain is identified by the public, you simply manipulate the perception of that villain and you aim public outrage at whatever you wish.

Well, like I said, the QAnon villain project bellyflopped in that regard. So now there is another try.

Enter...

Wait for it...

(drum roll)...

Dark MAGA

:)

Seriously.

Here's a Newsweek article talking about it.

What Is Dark MAGA? Trump Supporters Attempt Rebrand for 2024

donald-trump-dark-maga.webp?w=1600&h=900
WWW.NEWSWEEK.COM

A new movement that's spreading on social media is trying to unite mainstream conservatives and the fractured alt-right.

Well, the headline asks a good question. What is Dark MAGA? At least in terms of what these idiots are trying to inject into the culture?

Is it a monster? A massive militia-like organization? Creatures from outer space?

Nope. It's a meme. And a hashtag on Twitter. And a group of people shit-posting to have fun in a comic-book-like fashion (exaggerated good versus evil featuring a superhero).

From the article:

Quote

A small fringe of Donald Trump's supporters is calling for the former president to get back on the highest stage of U.S. politics with a vengeance with the motto: #DarkMAGA.

More of a meme than a political slogan, Dark MAGA is a post-alt-right aesthetic that promotes an authoritarian version of Trump in dystopian, Terminator-like images. In some, the Trump Tower is painted entirely in black and the former president is seen piercing through the screen with blue laser eyes.

The hashtag first appeared on Twitter on January 21, and it had become increasingly popular by March. It can now be found in thousands of memes on Telegram and TikTok as well.

The aesthetics of the movement are easily recognizable: images edited in red and black or red and blue, featuring people with blue laser eyes often holding weapons or standing in front of neo-Nazi symbols.

Uh oh. There's the first tell that panic is behind this.

Whenever you see the word "Nazi" applied to Trump supporters, you can be sure the people being targeted by the propagandists are those who are easy to scare. But "Nazi" for all things Trump has become so watered down from overuse that it is now seen by the public as lame more than anything else. Mostly unseen. For the propagandists to resort to this shows just how panicked they of the upcoming midterm elections.

On another point, somebody over there must be reading Scott Adams. During the 2016 election, he speculated that Robert Cialdini had covertly joined the Hillary Clinton persuasion team. Scott said he couldn't prove it was Cialdini, so he called this presence "Godzilla." And what was the big stomping change that made Scott speculate on this? The word "dark." The Clinton election propaganda started calling Trump and his ideas "dark." Scott said this showed persuasion expertise.

I'm not fully on board with this one except to note that "dark" works well as a negative frame-like word for generalities, but that persuasion expertise business is what Scott said. So I can easily see panicked predator class propagandists finding this and latching onto it, not realizing they are grasping at straws.

I'm not in the mood to look up a link for Scott's comments, especially with the piss-poor performance of search engines these days, but if you research this, you will find it.

Now the funny part of this article is that, throughout, it uses a weird form of rhetoric. It makes a bold scary opinion, then immediately follows up with a milquetoast disclaimer. The bold opinion about the new villain (Dark MAGA) is supposed to be the fear and hate inducing part of the message, and the disclaimer, of course, is the cover-your-ass rhetoric while trying to present the appearance of being reasonable.

Here are a few examples:

Quote

Dark MAGA supporters are calling for a ruthless, unforgiving version of Trump to take revenge on his political enemies at the 2024 election - though the movement hasn't been recognized or endorsed by Trump in any form.

. . .

The threat of political violence posed by far-right movements like Dark MAGA is real, says Marwick, but it's right now very limited as the group doesn't have mainstream support.

. . .

Dark MAGA was born from the alt-right's feeling of having lost power, and seeking to regain that power, at any cost.

Dark MAGA posts are far from receiving the same kind of attention that brought similar sorts of political memes to become so relevant in the 2016 election.

To make my point clear, here is what the propagandists want their target fraidy-cats to see.

Quote

Dark MAGA supporters are calling for a ruthless, unforgiving version of Trump to take revenge on his political enemies at the 2024 election - though the movement hasn't been recognized or endorsed by Trump in any form.

Dark MAGA posts are far from receiving the same kind of attention that brought similar sorts of political memes to become so relevant in the 2016 election.

Ahh... Now it's easy to see.

And that actually is what terrified people do see.

But this new Dark MAGA meme has not taken root in the mainstream, nor is it anywhere near that. So very few people are reading the message about it that way.

In other words, do you see the panic of the propagandists?

:)

There are a few other propaganda techniques. Newsweek interviewed some people who had bad things to say about the alt-right and it quoted them generously as if their statements were facts. It also referenced events like Jan. 6 in scary terms as if the scary conclusions were correct identification. But these (and a few other techniques that were used ) are such standard fare, such typical bullshit, I don't see any need to illustrate with quotes. Just read the article and you will see them.

However, that CYA technique added to the comic book aesthetic is funny. And to me, it's funny in a schadenfreude sense.

For the predator class propagandists to descend to that level, those idiots have to be scared to death of being wiped out politically.

:)

Actually, they are not wrong to fear this. The current MAGA movement, according to Steve Bannon, seeks to destroy the Democrat Party as a viable political institution. He openly says this and he says it often. What's more, all indications are pointing to a huge upcoming election wipe-out for Democrats.

Notice that the predator class propagandists don't take on Steve when he says that. They don't refute him. They just don't talk about him when he says this. Well... to be fair, it is hard to argue with his massive string of local election and appointment successes at the grass roots level.

So what do they do instead? They come up with bullshit like Dark MAGA.

All I can say is, man, if they win with that shit, MAGA will deserve what it gets.

But there is no way I can see for anyone to win anything with shit like that.

:)

The American people are speaking and they are not choosing you.

btw - SOS means Secretary of State.

Here's a nugget that I dug out of somewhere.

The predators wanted to use voting machines to count the ballots and would not budge. The MAGA people wanted hand counted paper ballots and would not budge..

So they compromised and did both.

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

It's the same outcome as if only paper hand-counted ballots were used. The predators wanted to cheat. The MAGA people did not. Sorry. No cheating this go around.

EDIT: Well I saw it. I'm in with JD Vance now. They convinced me.

I have had problems with him ever since Hillbilly Elegy (the book, not the movie, which I have refused to see). I even wrote a review of it on Amazon back when it came out.

That thing sounded to me like a way for the coastal chattering class to look down on mountain folks, which is where I come from. And, of course pity them when they were not laughing at them. And JD right there paving the way with a goddam victimization story.

Then JD started talking shit about Trump and I was done with him.

But, I don't know what happened, but it looks like he has done a complete 180. I even believe if he were to write Hillbilly Elegy today instead of before, it would be a lot different book. I get the sense that he learned what the reality is of the people using him.

I sure like what I heard from him in this rally (and what have heard for the last few weeks). So I'm good with him again, but I still don't like his damn book.

As to Trump, he was full of his steamroller energy. He was not holding back anything like I have seen him do a few times. He gave it his all and then a little more. The way Babe Ruth used to swing at the ball.

I love it.

This was expected, but it's still a big deal.

?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmediadc-brightspot.s3.

Author and venture capitalist J.D. Vance has been projected the winner of Ohio’s contentious Republican primary for Senate.

:)

Why such a big deal?

Because the top two candidates in this primary were MAGA (others were, too--and all great candidates).

The RINOS tried to wedge in Matt Dolan with some last minute shenanigans to pick up the spoils of the MAGA split, but people are sick of the RINOS.

Trump endorsed Vance and Vance pulled it off. Now he has to run against Democrat Tim Ryan who was a member of the House.

But with the amount of MAGA in the Republican primary and the turnout, does anyone doubt who is going to be the next Ohio senator?

:)

One other reason this is a big deal is that it sets the tone for the rest of the primaries. Trump's endorsement is huge, but this enhances. It's a bit mysterious how it works... it's a momentum thing.

Go Vance! But I still don't like Hillbilly Elegy.

I don't know how someone can seriously compare election influence between Trump and Biden, but I chose to post the following article from yesterday for a different reason.

?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmediadc-brightspot.s3.

Democrats have a mixed reaction to the value of a candidate endorsement from President Joe Biden, but that’s not the case for Republicans when former President Donald Trump weighs in.

My reason?

This quote:

Quote

Trump, unlike Biden, has been front and center in the endorsement business since he left office. And he has a very successful record.

In the 2022 primaries so far, his record is 33 wins and zero losses.

In tonight’s primaries, he has 22 endorsements on the line...

All 22 won.

That comes to 55 to 0.

Politico doesn't put it that way, but here is an article saying it differently.

20220504-trump-ap-773.jpg
WWW.POLITICO.COM

Donald Trump's endorsement record was unblemished in the Ohio and Indiana primaries.
Quote

With a roster of more than 130 endorsements in midterm races to date...

. . .

In Tuesday’s Indiana and Ohio primaries, Trump once again ran the table: All 22 of his endorsed candidates won.

Even if not all the other 75 or so of Trump-endorsed candidates win the other races, a record of 55 to 0 so far is quite a record.

That's called a winning streak in sports.

Now here's the unsung part.

There was no cheating in these primary elections. They were being watched like a hawk by very paranoid people after the 2020 election steal.

And many of these primary election winners faced opponents who outspent them.

What does this mean?

It means the people who voted for them were here all along.

That's what it means.

So just sit back and watch the steamroll happen. It's coming and right on time.

Also, with a roster of MAGA Republicans for the general elections, just watch what happens to the Dems.

Here's the principle being proven at this very moment as we look on: when the current establishment types can't cheat, they don't win.

With the kind of majority that is unfolding in results, no sporadic exception that may occur will disprove this principle. The current establishment types are finished election-wise.

I am part of the force--a tiny part, but a part--doing that.

All across America.

Those who are on board with me (even if reader only) are doing that, too.

For people who want the Objectivist movement to progress and spread, where are Objectivists who talk like Mel K did below?

www.themelkshow.com Thank you amazing patriots for joining us on this journey, for your support of our work and for your faith in this biblical transition to greatness. Please help us amplify our message:...

The short answer is there are none. The closest I recall ever seeing is sporadic moments of Yaron Brook and Leonard Peikoff.  But add sporadic to that. Those moments are few and far in between.

So long as impassioned people like Mel K don't show up, the Objectivist world will remain mostly elitist--and fringe for the rest of us.

Even when losing her voice, Mel K makes people want to do something. Guess what I did on hearing her? I posted her video right here even though it's not a perfect fit.
