Especially since there was nothing to whistle about. The MAGA people want to know what laws were broken or believed about to be broken by the former President that warranted a magistrate (not even a sitting judge) to issue a search warrant. That is probably what the bad guys are going to cover up with redactions. (Or try to cover up.) With good reason. After all, lying to a magistrate in an official petition is a felony, even if he is covertly complicit. There are a lot of spotlights on this issue right now. Left, right and center. Lots and lots of pressure and reasons for the insiders to fear. I don't think the DOJ expected this. All we need is one bad guy in the DOJ to turn on the others in a deal to get off easy, then the rats will jump ship and the whole sordid mess will come out.
