This deadly virus threatens to keep everyone at home and locked down. It should hit around election time. But not to worry. People can vote by mail. Also, there's a rumor that this Variant only lasts a few days, like, say, to the end of an election voting period. If you plan on staying home for election voting, you should be safe. I must say I agree with Tony’s video. Herd immunity was more quickly assured and less chance of a mutation was likely, if we had not had a lockdown, but allowed citizens to mingle, unmasked.
