Victor Pross
(Oh, and what's up with Perigo wearing tuxedos?)It’s Perigo’s attempt at “sophistication” but he really is just a blubbering volcanic ash of temper tantrum and pretentious pomp. He’s an emotional basket case incased in Eskimo blubber. In fact, he has more baggage than Parris Hilton on safari. What makes him this way? It must have been his friend’s midnight wedgie raid. Perigo’s tie serves the same purpose as an appendix—which is no purpose. Edited November 23, 2006 by Victor Pross
BAMF
LMFAO! That's my favorite rant of all time! Tuxedos are the total lameness. CNA
Here's some old stuff that I grew up on. My dad was in a band, opened for many acts, toured, etc., fairly well known. Their band was called Glass Image. Most here probably haven't heard of them. Amongst many other songs, he used to play the Ventures on his guitar. I remember all the days watching them practice. I had a crush on the singer, Ron Hedley. hehehehehe. If I am remembering correctly, Rich brought these guys up one time or I did maybe in email. Rodney
I've no time to click on most of these links. I did, however, click on:Johnny Cash & June Carter: "Darlin' Companion"Just when I think I've scared up online all the forgotten beloved records of my childhood and adolescence, something like this happens! That title, "Darlin' Companion," rang a little bell in my head--a small pleasure center in my brain where I have stored various important things. Could it be ... ? Would I like this tune--how did it go anyway? ...I love it, and what I want to know is--was it Johnny Cash who put this out in the 60s?

Rodney
I just answered my own question through Google: it was the Lovin' Spoonful in 1966 who did "Darlin' Companion" first--no surprise, since John B. Sebastian wrote it. For some reason, a company who holds the copyright has posted a "clip" of this track that consists of the whole song, save for apparently a fraction of a second at the beginning. Here's where you can hear the version of "Darlin' Companion" that I knew:http://www.carlinamerica.com/titles/titles...27&terms=CoBut I enjoy Johnny Cash too, and love the clip that was posted here. BAMF
Bill Hicks really is badass! I wrote a paper on him a couple of years ago. A film I would recommend to you would be "Lenny" starring Dustin Hoffman playing the comic great--Lenny Bruce. Never heard that Gwen Stefani song before, really like the beginning especially. Yodeling is badass. And Stefani is starting to be kind of like Fergie, I think. Although I like some of her new songs, I like the old No Doubt better. That Fergie song is pretty catchy, but I like My Humps better (as much as I'm ashamed to say it, lmao). CNA
Wow, Kori, you got Method Man in there and the song "move bitch." I was busting up. I remember out here in Cali and stuck in rush hour traffic and one day that song came on the radio, so freakin' appropriate and made me laugh. I like his older music as it reminds me when I was in highschool and brings back some memories, some utterly hilarious. Jodeci was also around when I was in highschool. Actually was serenaded the Forever My Lady by an up and coming R&B singer way back when. Yeah, I went out with a few musicians when I was younger. One of my girlfriends way back when actually dated the lead singer of Red Hot Chili Peppers. LOL Oh, my god, the stories....watch out for that one, need really BIG EYES. Anyway....I'm sure the ones I knew then are probably not around now though. The guy that sang to me had an amazing voice. Should be ducking as a frying pan may come out my screen from Victor. Yikes. just kidding. Thinking of some others that you might like, not sure but maybe. The beginning of that kind of rap music. Not LL Cool J stuff with like "Momma said knock you out" Some other ones around that time frame though. If I can think of them, I'll post some of them for you.Angie
BAMF
Wow, Angie! Dude, did you feel awkward when he was singing to you? I totally would. Can't believe your friend dated the lead singer of RHCP. Pretty cool shit. I remember hearing Roseanne Barr talk about him on a talk show. She said that she called his answering machine and spoke in a british accent saying that she was pregnant with his baby. Then she said she talked to him later on and his girlfriend had broken up with him because of it. Could be complete crap, but still funny. Roseanne Barr doing a british accent? Yeah right. That R. Kelly peeing on 16 year olds doesn't really piss me off, it's more funny to me. Maybe if it was someone much younger. Sixteen year olds should know better. I should post "Ice Ice Baby"! Love that song. Or maybe "Tricky" by Run DMC. Have to find it later.

No crazy ideas, anyone, no baby involved or anything like that. With the Red Hot Chili Peppers, I remember the morning my friend came banging on my front door really early in the morning. Just pounding on my door trying to get me up. I answered the door. She was still wearing the clothes she had on the night before, mascara all over the place, and hair that looked like a rat's nest. She was so damn excited. I asked her what she wanted and she said, Oh, my God, Angie, you won't believe it, I just slept with the lead singer of Red Hot Chili Peppers, he's amazing in bed and has a huge... They dated for a little while after that. The whole R. Kelly thing goes a bit further than 16 year olds and golden showers, yes, some were younger and wasn't the only time he got caught.
