Any fans of "anti-life" music out there?

Anti life? You haven't lived until you've been to a Metallica concert! I saw them for the "And justice for all" concert.

I think that Metallica's Cyanide should be voted by Objectitwits as the most "anti-life" song ever.

Suicide, I've already died

You're just the funeral I've been waiting for

Cyanide, living dead inside

Break this empty shell forevermore...

Plus, it's on the album "Death Magnetic"! Therefore it MUST be anti-life, right?

Laser Cannon DETH Sentence

Upon review, I realized I had committed several offenses in my previous post.

I have to one-up Jonathan.

Notice the word choice, "have". Here, Kyle reveals himself to be a determinist.

Too hard to resist.

Here, Kyle reveals that he is both weak-willed and unable to properly write a complete sentence.

Forgive me, LP.

Sanction of the victim.

Laser Cannon DETH Sentence

The above clearly demonstrates Kyle's willingness to tolerate a grave misspelling of the word "death".

When will this monster be stopped?!

(Warning: Reasoning may not be sound. Seen or heard.)

I don't actually like much of their stuff after "And Justice For All". A few songs on the black album.

Are you telling me you don't like "Hate Train"?!

Thankfully, I continue to exist as a non-entity bent on correcting such diversions from the anti-life path.

Get on the hate train, Jules!

Ok Hate Train was pretty good but it is time to get down with the sickness!!!

I liked most of their work until (and briefly after) 2007. I don't like most of their more recent work. Funny how that works.

In 2012, Disturbed's lead vocalist David Draiman founded the band Device. Device released the album Device in 2013. I like most of the songs on it. Draiman is a talented vocalist.

That was a badass video Kyle, I like him a lot!

I was a huge fan of Disturbed throughout my teenage years, but their (recent) music turned sour for me when I couldn't ignore the politically charged lyrics.

Usually, this isn't a problem for me, but the political (and worldview) overtones are so blatant that they make certain songs less appealing.

I'm in it for the music, not the politics, but once seen cannot be unseen or, in this case, unheard.

MM experienced a similar problem.

Yeah "Another way to Die" really pissed me off. Like they became the poster children for freaking Greenpeace ffs.

LOL, that is the exact song I had in mind while writing my previous post.

Oops! I thought you were a teenager.

They use to make videos. Some were quite good. Now they put up a photo and lard on the "music."

(I don't have to learn how to put up videos and graphics; I merely goad others to do my work for me, a regular Tom Sawyer)

--Brant

will somebody put up the Rush vid?

(I keep tipping my hand; my evil goes nowhere--damn!)

Here's an indictment of music videos by Ronnie himself.

But if you must have a video...

Well, I've learned a lot more about the MTV effect on contemporary music. I started watching it in 1982-1983 and put scores of videos onto cassette tapes which I still have. (I haven't watched MTV for a very long time now.)

Here are a few I especially liked (You Tube):

Billie Jean (Michael Jackson) (1982) (VEVO)

By the Dashboard Light (I could see heaven [paradise]) (Meat Loaf) (1978 live) (@ OGWT) (+1,880,000 views)

Why Me? (Planet P Project) (+413,000 views or +71,000 views)

You Got Another Thing Coming! (Judas Priest) (+146,000 views) 1982

Send Me An Angel (REAL LIFE) (+505,000 views)

The Twilight Zone [RATED R] (FULL ALBUM) (Golden Earing)

White Wedding (Billy Idol) (+2,500,000 views)

Big Log (Robert Plant) (+3,900,000 views)

I Love LA! (Randy Newman) (+540,000 views)

Rio (Duran Duran) (+5,000,000 views)

Etc.

Dancing With Myself (Billy Idol) (+7,800,000 views) is too much about Billy in its over the top pretensions (the song is much better than the over-produced video)
