  1. Guilty pleasure of mine. http://youtu.be/cRvGnq_WpAQ
  2. Here is a video tribute to the Zimmerman trial. It's replete with racial stereotypes, violence, animal sex, memes, obscure references, misrepresentations, memorable trial moments, strange parallels, and general hilarity. I nearly had a heart attack while watching it. Most of the images, in the video, were posted on /pol/ (it is likely most of the images were created by the members of /pol/ during the z-trial). I was frequenting /pol/ quite a lot during the trial and there was always at least one thread dedicated to the trial. My experiences on /pol/ will likely further my own understanding of comedy. There are some comedic geniuses on that site.
  3. Here's another great vid! I love surfing the web at 6 o'clock in the morning.
  4. cows & cows & cows was my first exposure to his work. When I first watched that video, something inside me said "Yeah, that's the good shit." I've been a fan ever since. Now, Brant may say that was my inner nihilist speaking. And I'm inclined to agree. I don't know how else to explain it.
  5. MSK, get in here! We need a story analysis, stat! I'm trying to figure out how this works as part of a greater story context. And I'm at a loss... Is the purpose of this ad to increase publicity via shock value or is there something more to it? Or is it both? Oddly enough, I'm reminded of this video:
  6. I don't find Louis C.K. funny, in general. He has his moments, though. He's mildly entertaining. I must be setting my standards too high since a lot of people find him funny. Guy's got a terrible case of white guilt. Or maybe not. It's difficult to tell what a comedian actually believes.
  7. Heh, I can only imagine what you think of me. But I don't think of you, Kyle. Well played.
  8. LOL, that is the exact song I had in mind while writing my previous post.
  9. Maybe it was all just wordplay. Can't say with Dennis Miller.
  10. I was a huge fan of Disturbed throughout my teenage years, but their (recent) music turned sour for me when I couldn't ignore the politically charged lyrics. Usually, this isn't a problem for me, but the political (and worldview) overtones are so blatant that they make certain songs less appealing. I'm in it for the music, not the politics, but once seen cannot be unseen or, in this case, unheard. MM experienced a similar problem.
  11. Hello Kyle Not intending to "compete". Just the other side of the coin. If it makes you feel good, it counts. -Joe I shouldn't be taken so seriously. And, now that you've clarified what makes a song a "feel good" song, I think our respective threads have nearly identical faces on that coin.
  12. A competitor emerges. Rather than compete, I'll contribute. Does this count as "feelin good" music?
  13. I liked most of their work until (and briefly after) 2007. I don't like most of their more recent work. Funny how that works. In 2012, Disturbed's lead vocalist David Draiman founded the band Device. Device released the album Device in 2013. I like most of the songs on it. Draiman is a talented vocalist.
  14. Are you telling me you don't like "Hate Train"?! Thankfully, I continue to exist as a non-entity bent on correcting such diversions from the anti-life path. Get on the hate train, Jules!
  15. Upon review, I realized I had committed several offenses in my previous post. Notice the word choice, "have". Here, Kyle reveals himself to be a determinist. Here, Kyle reveals that he is both weak-willed and unable to properly write a complete sentence. Sanction of the victim. The above clearly demonstrates Kyle's willingness to tolerate a grave misspelling of the word "death". When will this monster be stopped?! (Warning: Reasoning may not be sound. Seen or heard.)
  16. I think that Metallica's Cyanide should be voted by Objectitwits as the most "anti-life" song ever. Suicide, I've already died You're just the funeral I've been waiting for Cyanide, living dead inside Break this empty shell forevermore... Plus, it's on the album "Death Magnetic"! Therefore it MUST be anti-life, right? http://youtu.be/xUMqqVOlJBs J I have to one-up Jonathan. Too hard to resist. Forgive me, LP. Say Your Goodbyes That Was Your Life You'll Pay All Your Penance Laser Cannon DETH Sentence
  17. You folks are just trying get me out of retirement...
  18. He did, indeed. I can't believe some of his early stuff. I mean, I can't believe that he would be involved in making such music. But the voice; it's unmistakably his. I'm not stepping into your "world," I'm stepping on it. (Stomp, stomp.) Is it true this "music" causes permanent brain damage? --Brant my postings have deteriorated and I'm worried I'm not weorried my humor is only a scalpel to lance and drain this fulmination called a "thread" this place BTW is a ghetto, and not the Hotel California I figure I'll give you a break. All this anti-life hasn't done me any favors, either. I'm on a hiatus until further notice. Just gotta get away; get away from here. A parting song... As a parting note, this music doesn't cause brain damage. Easy mistake, since those with brain damage are attracted to this music. I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine...fine...fine...I need a nap and some ice cream.
  19. Do kids even use the word "bling" anymore? I'm getting old.
  20. Now it's time for something a little funky. No end in sight.
  21. Thanks for posting this, Jerry. Good information to know. The only downside is that, now, I'm extremely insecure about my photos I've uploaded to various websites...
  22. I'm tying to con Sept you'll eyes what eggs aptly is going on hear, but I'm halving traubel... Reading Naomi's post nearly broke my brain.
  23. I wonder if there are any Objectivists out there who like power-metal. I may be breaking new ground. Well, something is breaking...I can hear it cracking and everything. http://youtu.be/XET3qDQcCKA I like Brant. I like anyone who has the guts to take a step into my world. He has patience, wit, and charm. He's also one of the few people who post in this thread. I fear for his sanity if he's actually listened to everything I've posted. I wasn't given this anti-life; I was raised on it. I have the psychological tolerance to handle it. Does Brant? His continued postings suggest that he does have the tolerance. Don't worry, I'm on the final stretch. It can't get any worse, right?
  24. You're going to kill me, Brant. It's time to step up this anti-life tirade. ...approaching critical mass. It's too late for me...ABANDON THREAD!!!
