  1. Fran; The person in the picture 27 is Robert's wife. I'm sorry I don't have her name. Chris
  2. Ross; I think you're on to something. I have heard that Miss Rand thought Kelley had a good speaking voice but I think there may have been more going on. I suspect that Peikoff may have had moments of jealosy.
  3. I have never taken one of Fred's tours but I have talked to people who have. They are all very pleased.
  4. I would point out the Jefferson School was giving conferences. David Kelley had produced the first book of Objectivist philosophy "The Evidence of the Senses".
  5. I have thought that maybe the problem with Kelley and Reisman was that they were seen as a challange by being smarter and having more appeal so that they had to removed from the scene by being purged. The Soviets got rid of someone who became to important.
  6. Thank you Michael! I knew some of this story but you've filled in the parts I didn't know.
  7. I like the card but I don't know all the individuals. I recognize Lindsay but not the others.
  8. It's just a thought but I sometimes have the feeling that the desire for cyronics is a desire for a heaven. Maybe man just can't live forever. Except it and enjoy life now.
  9. I read this article and even printed it out. The only problem in our current situation that is not addressed is the non rational elements of Islam that have a hold on a large protion of the followers of that religion.
  10. Try the Atlas Society or the Ayn Rand Bookstore. There is a report that the Fountainhead has been discontiued. Does anyone know.
  11. Thank you for those pictures. I think photos like those are ART.
  12. It was wonderful. The dialog is very Randish. It was a Romantic movie with a very big R.
  13. There are some wonderful lists at the Movies and Entertainment. The Godfather One and Two are very well done. I can't say the same about GF 3. I have some lists I've made up. Enjoy!
  14. You're liking of Contact brings up the fact that the writer is now working on Atlas Shrugged. I love Apollo 13. I thought Apollo 13 had the spirit of AR's essays about the moon flights.
  15. I have seen an article that appeared in Human Events shortly after John Kennedy got the Democratic nomination in 1960. Miss Rand's The Only Path to Tomorrow which was published in Reader's Digest in 1944 has been republished in one of the collections. If anyone knows of any other article Miss Rand wrote for publication that have not appeared in collections let us know.
  16. TCM has some excellent information on Love Letters at their web site. It is worth looking at.
  17. Welcome! I remember you from the Summer Seminar. Good to have you with us
  18. This is a very well done movie. See it for the first time! See it again!
  19. Both books sound very impressive. I happy to hear that the books on Atlas are not just coming from ARI. I'm also delighted to hear that a book on Atlas is being published in India.
  20. Very impressive list. Last year (2005) a talk on Ortego was given at TOC's Summer Seminar. I would recommend it to you.
  21. Robert; I agree Man for All Seasons is a great movie. I guess I not convinced its the greatest movie. I guess the problem is that More in history was not as great as the More in the movie.
  22. Odgen Nash is the John Enright of humorous poets.
  23. What books are you going to get? I think everyone thinks there pictures are bad.
  24. I can't seem to make the connection.
