  1. He stole my style. That's exactly how I dance to this song. Backstreet's back, alright!
  2. As hilarious as that was...is it Linz and Hsieh's fault that your browser crashes? I wonder what the deal is. I've had it happen to me before too, though on different sites. Dolphin diarrhea...hah...who wants to go scuba diving?
  3. "Double" "you" "tee" "eff", "dude"!
  4. Thanks, Dragonfly. I, too, am a bit terrified of spiders, but they are far from my least favorite bug (locusts and grasshoppers take the top spot). I didn't know you were a photographer either. Nice work! Any more? That's so horrifying about the spiders...I can handle the little ones...tarantulas not so much! OMG. I am the resident spider killer at 3am. My sister, when she's in town, often comes into my room at 3am or so to wake me up to kill a spider. It used to piss me off a bit, but now I just ask her favors and say, "Hey, I killed that spider for you!" Hahahaha.
  5. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaangie, What up, biotch? Glad to see you posted your photos here! They're ridiculously good, me thinks. You really should try to take some pics of spiders even though you said you were scared of 'em. Overcome your fears! Hahaha. Oh, man. There have been some amazing shots of spiders in National Geographic...it's frightening. Anyhow, great work as I've said before. Jonathan, Those are some great photos as well! I am also curious about a site where your work is posted. I'd like to see more. You are lucky...getting to go to Taliesen...GAH! One of my faves there is Dusk at Lake Michigan. At first I thought it said "Ducks at Lake Michigan" and when I looked at it I thought, "I really like it, but where are the ducks?"
  6. Boy Obeys Laws During Toy Car Joyride Don't they just make you smile sometimes?
  7. Neoclassical? *scratches head in confusion and looks all innocent* :twitch:
  8. Well, I'm not baaaack. I just thought I'd pop in real quick.
  9. Why is this in "Dark Places"? LOL. Don't drink and post, folks...itz hazerdiss to yer helf.
  10. Rich, it's "dawg"...."dawg" I myself wondered where you'd gone. Sorry to hear of your misfortunes, but glad to hear that there was some good tossed in there as well. Welcome back.
  11. I wish I could have seen this episode. I love the Daily Show. I looked for it on youtube, but didn't find it. I did find this little gallup deal that showed a very small portion of the episode.
  12. Yikes! I hope you're feeling much better. Mouth pain is just god awful. I never had the pain like you are describing, but I had braces for 2.5-3 years and those are a biiiitch. Plus, I just got my wisdom teeth out, which went surprisingly well. I was too chicken shit to not be put asleep (uhhh...not like that) to get them pulled. I wasn't worried about getting them pulled, but when the dentist mentioned me not being asleep I started to panic. I can't stand the thought of being conscious while he's rippin' my teeth out of my gums. My teeth pulling went pretty damn well though (and I had four pulled before...before I got the braces). I took hydrocodone, which helped a lot. Only big problem was that I started to get intense headaches everyday, but at least I got a bit of time off work because of them. But, the holes healed up nicely now. It felt so strange to have holes in my mouth like that. I really wanted to shove something down in them, just to see, but I knew it'd hurt like hell. LOL. I would like to dissect gums or something to see what it looks like inside. Anyhow! Like I said, I hope you're feeling better!

    Madeleine L'Engle died!

Hey, I'm glad to hear other people have read her!

    Madeleine L'Engle died!

I pictured her as really old too! Hah! Did you ever see the movie Pocahontas? There's a tree in that movie that has a woman's face in it. She has this really gentle, wise kind of voice. That's how I pictured L'Engle. Odd! Right! It's an idea book...it was much different from anything else I'd ever read. I mostly read RL Stine books when I was little (he's still alive...phwew!). Goosebumps out the wazoo. But they were purely entertaining, and I remember this book made me think a bit more. I think I'm going to check it out from the library and give it a read again. I never read that Langton book. I should check it out. (Yeah, it might be a children's book, but...whatever, that just means it'll be a quick read)
  15. Author Madeleine L'Engle dies at 88 I just found this story. I didn't know she had died! Her book A Wrinkle in Time was my favorite book when I was a youngin (along with just about every Goosebumps book). I remember when I was in 3rd grade, the first time I read it, my teacher put me and about 3 other kids in a sort of advanced reading group. We pretty much sat out in the hallway and read this book. Then, we had to make a play out of it, with only 4 of us! Needless to say, we clowned around a lot, but I was still totally enchanted by the book. This article mentions a quote from L'Engle about her not talking down to her audience. I picked up on this when I read the book the first time, and God knows I appreciated it. R.I.P Madeleine!
  16. Oh no! Hmm...Pavarotti seemed to me like the kind of guy who would never die. And he won't. ;) Nessun Dorma
  17. It was irritating to me to wake up today and see a thread dedicated to you in a place where I know you'd be attacked. I was actually recommending this site to some people in OO chat, and your name came up. Mammon (a friend of mine) was curious where he'd heard your name. I told him, "Well, he's not very well liked around these here parts...and most other parts..." BUT, then he goes off and makes a thread about it. LOL. Well, though it's a pleasure to put in a kind word for you, I am glad the thread is closed. I'd hate to see an MSK-insult-fest...I don't want to put on my battle gear. (I continue to put in kind words, Michael, and I continue to urge people to see for themselves!) *beckons*
  18. Jeff, just say, "Kori is awesome." Leave it at that.
  19. The big 1-7, eh? Only one more year and you will be able to join me in buying up the porn industry. You will also be able to sign that contract to sell your soul to the devil, whilst smoking a cig. Okay, I know you won't do any of those things, as you are not a heathen like moi. Anyhow, if you are around, have a happy birthday, dude. Party hardy. Hope everything is going well for you.
  20. No, Chris, you don't need a passport. You just need one finger, so you can push this: Now, your birthday is about over. How was it? I know, with my cookies, it couldn't have been anything other than marvelous. Who said anything about fishing? I'm more of a hunter myself. I was never any good at waiting around. Thank you for the sentiment, Michael. I hope you are well.
  21. No problemo, Chris. I know I'm sweet, by the way. I have often witnessed the sugarrush-like attack I give to others with my comments/actions. Hahaha. I am sorry, but I won't come out of retirement, I've already purchased a vacation home in Reality (it's off the coast of Sanity). I can only hope that you will settle for a nice, fresh, warm batch of homemade e-cookies. I made them just for you. *extends plate of cookies*
  22. That's right, Chris, I'm coming out of retirement just for you. So, dammit, feel special! I hope that all is well with you and you are in good health. And I especially hope you have a bitchin' day. DO IT!
