TG,

It does seem like Rand forgot what Karl Marx's life looked like before the Communist Revolution in Russia. It did not look organized like a Deep State.

But at some point along the way, it sure as hell did get organized that way.

Michael

Good point, especially since she did at one point reference Hitler's "Beer-hall putsch". (Unless that was Peikoff in OMINOUS PARALLELS...)

Either way, found one of her quotes on the topic of a revolution vs. putsch...

Quote

Revolution vs. Putsch. “The New Left does not portend a revolution, as its press agents claim, but a Putsch. A revolution is the climax of a long philosophical development and expresses a nation’s profound discontent; a Putsch is a minority’s seizure of power. The goal of a revolution is to overthrow tyranny; the goal of a Putsch is to establish it.”

Kick 'em in the nuts means kick 'em in the money.

Section 230 has to go. Later they can put something better in (and negotiate like human beings).

But for now, it has to go.

And, man, does this give President Trump leverage right now.

I thought the word on the street was that this was veto-proof?

TG,

Use your knowledge of President Trump.

Have you ever seen this plotline before with him as President?

President: Include Provision X in this new spending bill or I will veto it.

Swamp: You wouldn't dare. You don't have the balls.

President: Include Provision X in this new spending bill or I will veto it.

Swamp: We have enough votes to override your stinkin' veto.

President: Include Provision X in this new spending bill or I will veto it.

Swamp presents spending bill without Provision X in it.

President vetoes it.

Swamp overrides veto.

Has that ever happened under President Trump?

Ever?

:)

The closest thing I can think of is McCain betraying everyone when he voted against repealing Obamacare. And President Trump was not neck-deep in those negotiations.

President Trump has something up his sleeve. Now that Durham can use classified info in addressing a grand jury on the "muh Russians" mess, I wonder if any blustering member of Congress would prefer some of that not be used... you know... embarrassing or illegal shit...

:)

And that's just one thing off the top of my head.

I was going to post that. President Trump threw the swamp's $600 per American in their faces and told them to come back with a bill having a minimum of $2,000 per American. He also told them to get a lot of crap out of the bill (fish studies and so on that have nothing to do with CIVID-19 relief).

If they don't, he said that they will have to deal with putting together a bill to be approved by the next administration, which will be him. And he will get it done right.

The idiots walked right into that.

I actually need the money right now, but it was worth not getting it to see President Trump do that.

It was glorious.

President Trump also pardoned 15 people, several of whom were Mueller victims.

This batch included George Papadopoulos.

I can't find the full list right now, but as soon as I do, I will amend this post.

EDIT: I found it. White House Press Release. (I feel kinda dumb I didn't think of that earlier. :) )

Statement from the Press Secretary Regarding Executive Grants of Clemency
LAW & JUSTICE | Issued on: December 22, 2020

The text:

Quote

Today, President Donald J. Trump granted Full Pardons to 15 individuals and commuted part or all of the sentences of an additional 5 individuals.

Alfonso Costa — President Trump granted a full pardon to Alfonso Costa, a dentist from Pittsburgh.  Dr. Costa’s request for clemency was supported by Dr. Ben Carson and Jerome Bettis, as well as by numerous business associates, patients, and community leaders from Pittsburgh.  Dr. Costa pled guilty to one count of health care fraud related to false billing, took full responsibility for his conduct, served two years of probation, and paid nearly $300,000 in fines and restitution.  He has devoted much of his adult life to service to his community, including serving on the board of the Pittsburgh Opera, and doing significant service for children and the underprivileged.

Alfred Lee Crum — President Trump granted Alfred Lee Crum a full pardon.  Mr. Crum, who is now 89, pled guilty in 1952—when he was 19 years old—to helping his wife’s uncle illegally distill moonshine in Oklahoma.  Mr. Crum served three years of probation, and paid a $250 fine.  Mr. Crum has maintained a clean record and a strong marriage for nearly 70 years, attended the same church for 60 years, raised four children, and regularly participated in charity fundraising events.  Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Oklahoma Brian Kuester supported Mr. Crum’s request for a pardon.

Crystal Munoz — Today, President Trump commuted Crystal Munoz’s remaining term of supervised release, having previously commuted her sentence of incarceration after she had served 12 years in prison.  Alice Johnson, the Texas A&M Criminal Defense Clinic, and the Clemency for All Non-Violent Drug Offenders Foundation are among the many who supported clemency for Ms. Munoz.  Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi supports the President’s further act of clemency today. Ms. Munoz was convicted of conspiracy to distribute marijuana based on her role in a marijuana smuggling ring.  During her time in prison, she mentored people working to better their lives, volunteered with a hospice program, and demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to rehabilitation.

Tynice Nichole Hall — President Trump has commuted the remainder of Tynice Nichole Hall’s term of supervised release.  He previously commuted her term of incarceration after she had served nearly 14 years of an 18-year sentence for allowing her apartment to be used to distribute drugs.  Alice Johnson, The Clemency for All Non-Violent Drug Offenders Foundation, and The Ladies of Hope Ministries are among the many who supported clemency for Ms. Hall. Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi supports the President’s further act of clemency today. While in prison, Ms. Hall completed a number of job-training programs and apprenticeships, as well as coursework towards a college degree.  In addition, Ms. Hall taught prison educational programs to other inmates.  She has accepted responsibility for her past behavior and has worked hard to rehabilitate herself.

Judith Negron — President Trump has today commuted the remainder of Judith Negron’s term of supervised release.  He previously commuted her term of incarceration after she had served 8 years of her sentence.  Alice Johnson, the Clemency for All Non-Violent Drug Offenders Foundation, Change.org, and the Warden at Aliceville Federal Correctional Institution have all supported clemency for Ms. Negron.  Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi supports the President’s further act of clemency today. Ms. Negron is a wife and mother who was sentenced to 35 years for her role as a minority-owner of a healthcare company engaged in a scheme to defraud the Federal Government.  During her incarceration, Ms. Negron dedicated her time to improving her life as well as the lives of her fellow inmates.  She completed hundreds of hours of educational programs, served as a tutor, and mentored other inmates.  Her acts of selflessness won her the praise of her prison warden.

Steve Stockman — Today, President Trump commuted the remaining prison sentence of Steve Stockman.  Former Representatives Bob McEwen and Bob Barr, along with James Dobson and L. Brent Bozell are among the many public figures who have called for Mr. Stockman’s release from incarceration on humanitarian and compassionate grounds.  Mr. Stockman is 64 and has underlying pre-existing health conditions that place his health at greater risk during the COVID epidemic, and he has already contracted COVID while in prison.  Mr. Stockman, who was twice a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Texas’s 9th congressional district from 1995 to 1997 and Texas’s 36th congressional district from 2013 to 2015, was convicted in 2018 of misuse of charitable funds.  Mr. Stockman has served more than two years of his ten-year sentence and will remain subject to a period of supervised release and an order requiring that he pay more than $1,000,000 in restitution.

Duncan Hunter – At the request of many Members of Congress, President Trump granted a full pardon to Duncan Hunter.  His pardon is also supported by former Commissioner of the Federal Election Commission Bradley Smith.

Mr. Hunter has dedicated much of his adult life to public service.  Mr. Hunter represented California’s 50th Congressional District from 2013 to 2020.  Prior to his time in Congress, Mr. Hunter was an officer in the United States Marine Corps.  Inspired to enlist after the September 11, 2001 attacks, Mr. Hunter saw combat in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

In 2019, Mr. Hunter pled guilty to one count of misusing campaign funds, an offense that could have been handled as a civil case via the Federal Election Commission, according to former FEC Commissioner Bradley Smith.  He was sentenced to 11 months’ imprisonment set to begin in January 2021.

Chris Collins – Today, President Trump granted a full pardon to Chris Collins, at the request of many Members of Congress.

Mr. Collins served in Congress for nearly seven years, representing the people of Western New York from 2013 to 2019.  Mr. Collins spent his early career as a successful businessman and entrepreneur, before devoting his life to public service.  In 2007, Mr. Collins was elected County Executive for Erie County, New York, a position he held for one four-year term, and in 2012 the people of New York’s 27th congressional district elected Mr. Collins to the U.S. House of Representatives.  He was subsequently re-elected to this seat three times.  During his tenure in Congress, Mr. Collins was known for his particular focus on the wellbeing of small businesses, agriculture, and sciences.

In 2019, Mr. Collins pled guilty to the charges of conspiring to commit securities fraud and making false statements to the FBI.  Mr. Collins is currently serving his 26-month sentence.

Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean – Today, President Trump granted full pardons to Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean. These former Border Patrol Agents have been supported by one hundred members of Congress, including Rep. Louie Gohmert, Rep. Steve King, Rep. Ted Poe, Rep. Paul Gosar, Rep. Brian Babin, as well as the U.S. Border Control Foundation and the Conservative Legal Defense and Education Fund.

Mr. Ramos participates in numerous community activities and charities, and Mr. Compean is active in his local church.

Both men served as Border Patrol Agents and put themselves in harm’s way to help secure our southern border with Mexico.  On one such occasion in 2005, they stopped an illegal alien trafficking 700 pounds of marijuana. When the illegal alien—who was thought to be armed—resisted arrest, Mr. Ramos shot the suspect, who fled back across the border.  For this, Mr. Ramos and Mr. Compean were charged and convicted of assault, using a firearm during a crime of violence, and deprivation of civil rights.  After they were sentenced to 11 and 12 years imprisonment, respectively, their case gained widespread attention.

One hundred members of Congress, as well as the organizations above, supported Mr. Ramos’ and Mr. Compean’s release from prison. The Senate Judiciary Committee held hearings on the excessive sentence imposed on the former agents. And President George W. Bush ultimately commuted these sentences with strong bipartisan support.

George Papadopoulos – Today, President Trump granted a full pardon to George Papadopoulos.  Mr. Papadopoulos was charged with a process-related crime, one count of making false statements, in connection with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.  Notably, Mueller stated in his report that he found no evidence of collusion in connection with Russia’s attempts to interfere in the election.  Nonetheless, the Special Counsel’s team still charged Mr. Papadopoulos with this process-related crime.

At the time that Mr. Papadopoulos allegedly made the false statements, he was not represented by counsel, and, after he was arrested, Mr. Papadopoulos gave additional information on his prior statements to the Special Counsel. Today’s pardon helps correct the wrong that Mueller’s team inflicted on so many people.

Alex van der Zwaan – Today, President Trump granted a full pardon to Alex van der Zwaan.  His pardon is supported by former Rep. Trey Gowdy.

Mr. van der Zwaan was charged with a process-related crime, one count of making false statements, in connection with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation. None of his underlying conduct was alleged to have been unlawful, nor did prosecutors note any prior criminal history. Mr. van der Zwaan is a Dutch national who voluntarily returned to the United States to correct his statements and surrendered his passport upon entry.

Nicholas Slatten, Paul Slough, Evan Liberty, and Dustin Heard – Today, President Trump granted full pardons to Nicholas Slatten, Paul Slough, Evan Liberty, and Dustin Heard.  The pardon of these four veterans is broadly supported by the public, including Pete Hegseth, and elected officials such as Rep. Louie Gohmert, Rep. Paul Gosar, Rep. Ralph Norman, Rep. Bill Flores, Rep. Brian Babin, Rep. Michael Burgess, Rep. Daniel Webster, Rep. Steve King, and Rep. Ted Yoho.

Mr. Slatten, Mr. Slough, Mr. Liberty, and Mr. Heard have a long history of service to the Nation.  Mr. Slatten was inspired to serve his country after the attacks of September 11, 2001, and served two tours in Iraq with the 82nd Airborne Division.  Mr. Slough served in the United States Army and deployed to Iraq with his National Guard unit.  Mr. Liberty served in the United States Marine Corps and protected United States Embassies abroad.  Mr. Heard served in the United States Marine Corps during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

These veterans were working in Iraq in 2007 as security contractors responsible for securing the safety of United States personnel. When the convoy attempted to establish a blockade outside the “Green Zone,” the situation turned violent, which resulted in the unfortunate deaths and injuries of Iraqi civilians. Initial charges against the men were dismissed, but they were eventually tried and convicted on charges ranging from first degree murder to voluntary manslaughter. On appeal, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that additional evidence should have been presented at Mr. Slatten’s trial. Further, prosecutors recently disclosed—more than 10 years after the incident—that the lead Iraqi investigator, who prosecutors relied heavily on to verify that there were no insurgent victims and to collect evidence, may have had ties to insurgent groups himself.

Weldon Angelos – Today, President Trump granted a full pardon to Weldon Angelos.  Mr. Angelos’ pardon is supported by Senator Mike Lee, Senator Rand Paul, Alice Johnson, former U.S. Attorney Brett Tolman, and others.

Mr. Angelos is an active criminal justice reform advocate and champion of giving second chances. Because of mandatory minimums, Mr. Angelos was sentenced in 2002 to 55 years’ imprisonment for selling marijuana and carrying a handgun in the course of dealing.  The presiding judge called this excessive sentence “unjust and cruel and even irrational.”

Mr. Angelos was eventually released by judicial order after serving 13 years in prison, and committed to changing the world for the better through criminal justice reform advocacy. His story has been cited as an inspiration for sentencing reform, including the First Step Act, and he participated in a Prison Reform Summit at the White House in 2018.  In his own words, Mr. Angelos wants “to become whole again and put the bad choices in the past and continue changing the world for the better.”

Philip Lyman – Today, President Trump granted a full pardon to Philip Lyman.  Mr. Lyman’s pardon is supported by Senator Mike Lee, Former Rep. Jason Chaffetz, and other notable members of the Utah community.

Mr. Lyman is known to be a man of integrity and character who was serving as a county commissioner in Utah when he was subjected to selective prosecution for protesting the Bureau of Land Management’s closure of the Recapture Canyon to ATV riders.  He had no other criminal history, but he was arrested and sentenced to 10 days in prison and nearly $96,000 in restitution.

Otis Gordon – Today, President Trump granted a full pardon to Otis Gordon.  Mr. Gordon’s pardon is supported by Senator Tim Scott.

Mr. Gordon has become a Pastor at Life Changer’s International Ministries since his conviction for possession with intent to distribute. In 2015, in the wake of the shooting at a Bible study in Charleston, South Carolina, Mr. Gordon led a prayer session at the United States Capitol. Mr. Gordon mentors at-risk youths in his community.  Senator Tim Scott describes Mr. Gordon as “a model citizen” since his release and “focused on helping young men avoid the same traps he once fell in.”

Philip Esformes – Today, President Trump commuted the term of imprisonment of Philip Esformes, while leaving the remaining aspects of his sentence, including supervised release and restitution, intact.  This commutation is supported by former Attorneys General Edwin Meese and Michael Mukasey, as well as former Deputy Attorney General Larry Thompson.  In addition, former Attorneys General Edwin Meese, John Ashcroft, and Alberto Gonzalez, as well as other notable legal figures such as Ken Starr, have filed in support of his appeal challenging his conviction on the basis of prosecutorial misconduct related to violating attorney-client privilege.

While in prison, Mr. Esformes, who is 52, has been devoted to prayer and repentance and is in declining health.

And, of course, there's this.

A stimulus bill means to some people denying President Trump one of his executive powers--invoking the Insurrection Act.

People have been saying that the idea of using military force is silly. It's taking the eye off the ball. That President Trump isn't even thinking about it. He said so in a tweet.

So what the hell is this provision doing in a stimulus bill?

The people who put it there certainly are thinking about it.

To me, that's proof of intent.

It's even worse. If they get Biden in, invoking the Insurrection Act is exactly what they intend to do. The swamp always accuses others of that it does and/or intends to do.

I had not thought of this:

:)

And then there is something else I had not thought of. I came across it the other day.

Remember when Biden was receiving intelligence briefings? And then he wasn't?

Why did that happen?

Well, given the way President Trump works, there's some speculation going around that the Biden people were given certain specific misinformation to see what would happen with it--like leaking it to the CCP and other places.

Apparently, that's exactly what happened and the Trump people got the proof they needed through surveillance. So there was no more reason to keep the Biden people supplied with intelligence info.

I don't have evidence of this except for certain grapevines I haunt, but it sure sounds plausible. Especially since these grapevines tend to be correct most of the time.

:)

Here is some, very odd news--great news from what I have seen so far. I haven't listened to the video below yet except pieces, so I will hold off commenting.

But I will include an excerpt that was extracted on BitChute:

NEWS - SIDNEY POWELL APPOINTED SPECIAL COUNSEL & DEEP STATE PANICS

image.png

According to Patrick Byrne, who is apparently now a Trump insider, he says he was in the room at the meeting where President Trump discussed appointing Sydney Powel as Special Counsel to investigate election fraud.

He said President Trump not only discussed it, he actually did it verbally in front of everyone. When one the the people trying to nudge Trump into conceding raised the issue of security clearance, Trump said he has the authority to give her such clearance and he was doing so right then and there.

Ah, hell. I went ahead and did the transcript.

Quote

PATRICK BYRNE: President Trump has been buried in lead. I was in the room when President Trump... so at one point Pat Cipollone in one of his hissy fits yelled at the President, stood up and was yelling at the President... I almost decked this guy. He's a rude little son of a bitch.

And Flynn stood up. I mean, Flynn is a real gentleman--as gentlemanly as in gets. And he even took to his feet at one point at three lawyers who were screaming. And I went... and I'm standing shoulder to shoulder with Flynn and facing off with these guys. There was almost a fist fight. Trump said... President Trump said later, "There's probably not been a meeting like this in two hundred years in the Oval Office."

I can tell you that I saw President Trump... Cipollone, the general counsel, said something like, "If you really... you don't even need me. You can just do this verbally. If you really want to appoint Sidney Powell Special Counsel, you can just say it."

ANN VANDERSTEEL: And... uh... after fifteen more minutes of arguing, President Trump said, "You know what? You don't, you said I don't..."

Cipollone said you don't even need a pencil and paper if you want to do this. But if you do that... you know, this and that...

And twenty minutes later, Trump said, "You know what? I've made my decision. Sydney Powell, you are appointed White House Special Counsel."

And somebody objected, "Well... she doesn't nee... she needs a clearance. And that's going to take X many of this and that."

And President Trump said, "You know what? I have the ability to give a clearance with my word. I hereby that give you a TS SCI clearance. This is done. This decision is where we're going."

ANN VANDERSTEEL: Wow.

PATRICK BYRNE: The next day, Sidney Powell... This was in front of Mark Meadows, who was on the phone. This was in front of the legal staff and it was in front of myself, Flynn, Sidney... General Flynn, Sidney, and the other lawyer whose name for her own security I don't want to use.

And the next day Sidney Powell called Mark Meadows and said, "Well, now that I'm White House Special Counsel, I'm going to need an office at the White House."

And Mark Meadows said, "Uhmmm... Sidney. I don't know if we can really do that."

And Sidney said, "Well, okay. I at least need a pass so I can come and go."

And Meadows said, "Uhmmm... Actually I don't think we can really do that either."

So they are directly, directly are refusing to execute an order from the President. Yesterday, or... is today? Yeah, today's Tuesday. On Monday, Sidney Powell went to go over to the White House and was refused...

Actually I was with her Sunday night and she was refused admittance. I mean we got into the White House, but they refused... they will not inform him, even though he has directly said... I heard him directly say that they do not have to worry about access, Sidney and Mike, told them, they do not have to worry about access. They have direct access. His people are refusing to execute his orders. That's how crazy it's gotten. They are refusing to execute his orders.

ANN VANDERSTEEL: Wow.

PATRICK BYRNE: And today, the same thing was going on. Todays the... And since then, everyone we know has had like a lead wall come down around him. His own staff. Mark Meadows and Pat Cipollone have taken control of the Oval Office and they're refusing to follow President Trump's orders. It's the craziest thing I've ever...

ANN VANDERSTEEL: OK...

PATRICK BYRNE: I would have fired this little weasel on the spot for the way he talked... talked... if you ever talked to... It was all I could do not to slap the guy he was so rude to the President.

ANN VANDERSTEEL: This is explosive so... And I just want to stop for a second and just kinda recapture here because, you know, Maggie Haberman has done a real disservice to the country putting out information that's categorically and patently false. And you are here dispelling what exactly went on.

I had the opportunity to speak to General Flynn yesterday and he sort of recaptured a little bit of this, but I was talking to General Flynn in terms of this is President Trump's Abraham Lincoln moment right now. I mean there's so much evidence of fraud thanks to the work you and your team have done. Sidney Powell, Rudy, Jenna, the whole team has worked really quickly. And, of course, the army of digital soldiers that, you know, General Flynn patented and coined the name for. Right? There has been more information revealed by the army of anons out there than what you see going on in the Oval Office with the exception of you, Sydney and General Flynn in that meeting on Friday.

Here's the thing, Patrick. Are these people all about self preservation at this point because they think there's no way for the President to win and they're just kind of throwing in the towel? What are they doing here? Or are they totally anti-Trumper?

PATRICK BYRNE: There are... they are lying to him about his authorities and powers. I'm a better lawyer than these guys are because, I mean it was crazy... and they would say, "No no, you can't do that." And Sidney would say, "Well, actually he can. Look at this. He's already signed this and there's already this law. He absolutely has the power to do that."

And they'd be like, "Oh, okay. Well, okay. Maybe, but..." They just... They were perpetually in the mode of no. No no no. To the point that they were saying no without reasons. They were saying no and then caucusing with each other to try to figure out what the reason is for the no. But they're just in the mode of no.

I have talked to... for last two months I've met a lot of people this administration. And I can tell you I'm being told in the White House... the message is going out from Pat Cipollone and the legal team as well as Mark Meadows, "" Just get the President to concede. We just want to get him into transition mode."

Meanwhile, on the same day I'm being told that, that they're telling that to people beneath them, I'm in the Oval Office with them and they're telling the President, "Oh no, we... we're doing our best, but... ehh... we just don't see a way..."

It's disgusting. Flynn and I...

ANN VANDERSTEEL: Yeah...

PATRICK BYRNE (snorts): So yeah. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen in my life.

ANN VANDERSTEEL: This is so discouraging. This is so out of touch Washington DC is with the rest of us out here that are fighting and scrapping.

PATRICK BYRNE: You know why they're doing it? Because the signal has gone out, "If you're good boys and you get the President out on January 20th, there's a million and a half dollar..."

In fact, President Trump said that one of the people there, it was one of the three lawyers, it was his last night and he was leaving that night. It was... he stayed to midnight with us, but he left. But President Trump said, "You know why this guy's leaving us? He just got an offer for ten times the salary from another law firm in DC."

What's happened is all these people know that if they get the President out on January 20, there's jobs waiting for them at law firms and lobbyists for million dollar and up jobs. But if they don't get him out... and if they do, they're going to be invited to the right socialite parties in New York.

Hey. I've been to those socialite parties, You aren't missing anything. You know, it's slumming as far as I'm concerned. Hang out with a better class of people than going to hang around that crew in New York.

So, they're being tempted with offers like that and they're being told... I'm told by people involved... they're being told, "If you don't get him out on January 20th, all of that goes away." So these people are privately being offered massive jobs if they just get President Trump out.

If this is true, things will start moving fast once Barr steps down.

btw - What time does Barr step down?

:)

That report is in keeping with the worry I expressed on the China thread - link.

It's also in keeping with things I've been told by two people I know who have access to Trump. (One of them could make a phone call to Trump and expect to be put through, or called back if the timing wasn’t convenient.)  And, no, I’m not saying who the people are.  Sorry, but there are good reasons at times not to reveal sources.

Both these people say that Trump has people around him who are trying to push him into conceding (no way they'll manage that) and who, as per Byrne's description, surround him in "lead" as best they can.

It simply isn’t the case that all Republicans want Trump to have a second term.

What's with Giuliani in this situation?

President Trump retweeted this a little earlier today.

Here are the images separate from the tweet.

In my view, and I have no inside knowledge, not even a speculation from someone else, I believe President Trump put Sidney together with Ivan to see what she thought and if she could incorporate her investigation with it in some manner. And I believe she said yes.

Thus the tweet.

This is another way President Trump will attack the bad guys.

I expect to see VP Pence do something tomorrow, despite Ivan having a cow all day about time running out. :)

I think President Trump wanted former AG Barr gone before he moved on these things. And tomorrow is the day the Acting AG Rosen takes over.

We'll see, but I'm feeling really good about this.

There's a rumor going around that President Trump told Sidney Powell she will not be Special Counsel. And that Rudy confirmed this.

I've been chasing this story all over the Internet for about 3 hours this morning and I finally found what I believe is the source. It's an article at leftie-rag Daily Beast published on Dec. 22 and updated on Dec. 23: Trump Tells Sidney Powell He Won’t Name Her ‘Special Counsel’.

Two things wrong with the article:

1. The sources: "two people with knowledge of the matter and another source close to the White House." Well that sounds credible. :)

2. And the CYA sentence: "President Trump, it should be noted, is notorious for changing his mind on a whim." Which, of course, means he could do the opposite of what is in this piece of garbage "on a whim," like, say, appointing Sidney Powell.

I got surprised at how viciously Karl Rove came out swinging against Sidney and how press organizations with strong ties to establishment Republicans like the Daily Wire are practically repeating the Daily Beast article whole.

This is a perfect example of the trading-up-the-chain strategy.

So this feels to me like a disinformation campaign.

If I ever hear it from President Trump, Sidney, Lin, Gen. Flynn, etc., I will believe it.

Until then (which I doubt will ever appear), this is propaganda.

Which means this is propaganda.

:)

Relax, folks. The people in the swamp are shitting their pants and trying every dirty trick in the book.

btw - Mike Adams said there is a rumor going around that the Deep State planted a nuclear bomb in a hidden part of DC and is threatening President Trump with setting it off if he doesn't concede. I find this quite remote because of the massive number of patriots in the armed forces that have the capabilities to detect something like that. I think Mike's just frustrated and venting a little. :)

Let me repeat, the people in the swamp are shitting their pants right now and getting real desperate.

Michael,

You posted that while I was in process of writing something repeating a question from a post of mine you might have missed, "What’s with Giuliani in this situation?"

On Tuesday, Dec 22, 1:21 pm EST, William posted an excerpt from a Sean Spicer interview of Giuliani in which Giuliani said:

"Sidney Powell is not a part of our legal team, she has not been for five weeks, she is not a special counsel for POTUS, she does not speak for POTUS, nor does she speak for the admin"

I'm not sure if that interview was before or after the meeting in the Oval Office Patrick Byrne described.

Ellen

EDIT:  The Oval Office meeting was on Friday, Dec. 18.

Here's a "Daily Beast" article about it, headline "Trump’s Bonkers Oval Office Meeting With Sidney Powell Was Even Too Much for Rudy."
