On a trip to France a few years ago I saw some remarkable results from restaurants that used translation software on their menus. Chicken with Garnishes came out in English as Chicken with Table Linens.

"Pavé" is originally the participle "paved." From there it came to mean a cobblestone or paving stone, and from there in turn to mean a flat, boneless cut of meat or fish. Thus one restaurant in Bourges offered Salmon Paved with Cobblestones and Paved with Cobblestones by a Rumpsteak.

Menetou-Salon is a wine local to Bourges. Lamb Menetou-Salon was, on the English side, Lamb in the Menetou Living Room.
