Here in Las Vegas there are plenty of early voting sites. About a 15 minute wait in line. In addition to the various candidates running, the following issues were up for vote: Question 1 would require that an unlicensed person who wishes to sell or transfer a firearm to another person conduct the transfer through a licensed gun dealer who runs a background check. Question 2 would legalize marijuana for adults and put the tax revenue from the sale of the drug toward education funding. Question 3 would eliminate energy monopolies and minimize the regulatory burden. Question 4 would require that certain types of equipment, including durable medical equipment, mobility enhancing equipment and oxygen delivering equipment, be exempt from the sales and use tax. Question 5 was a veto referendum that would have retained or repealed the section of Senate Bill 374 that established a fixed fee for solar customers that differed from the fixed fee for other ratepayers. The Nevada Supreme Court removed it from the ballot on August 4, 2016. The court ruled that the measure's description contained biased language.

Now suppose the presenter on youtube cites verifiable medical studies, as Purlmutter & his guests usually do...would that suffice? I usually pursue further and check them out if I'm very interested in the topic. I frequent The New England Journal of Medicine and the Royal Society of Medicine et.al. Both are peer reviewed. The problem with textbooks is they are often outdated by the time, or shortly after, they are published. As you are aware, the field of medicine is quite fluid. Staying up with it in just a single specialty requires an enormous amount of time. If I were to come back in another life I'd be an ophthalmologist...the eye fascinates me. --J P.S. I drove all the docs nuts with the amount of questions I asked regarding disease, treatment and prevention. I'm the curious type.

Baal, I've looked at that and thanks. These 2 M.D.s are at the forefront of medical research in their given specialities...plus they put it in laymens terms. Better for us non-MDs that way. Their opinions are not likely based on fiction. Purlmutter's site features a potpourri of specialists commenting on what they know best, based on recent studies. It's a good place to start.--Joe
