Current Riots in America (June 2020)

From Britannica: critical race theory | Definition, Principles, & Facts . . . Apr 02, 2021 · Critical race theory is an intellectual movement and a framework of legal analysis according to which (1) race is a culturally invented category used to oppress people of colour and (2) the law and legal institutions in the United States are inherently racist insofar as they function to create and maintain social, political, and economic inequalities between white and nonwhite people. end quote

Something else I wonder about is critical race theory. Race is not an invented fact. It is real and certain attributes go with race, but of course “the average” does not define a reasoning individual of any particular race. As I said before, I recently heard there were 300 shootings over a weekend in Chicago. Violence goes with the territory as the saying goes, but common sense informs you of reality. What are the odds of a black mass shooter? Low. What are the odds there is more violence and individual shootings in a black neighborhood?

Oh no! A probe? Well I welcome it. Eff the pieces of crap who %^***(^% on our capital and Constitution. I can handle the truth. Peter

WASHINGTON (AP) — A new committee to investigate the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol would have 13 members and the power to subpoena witnesses, according to legislation released by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Monday. The House is expected to vote on the bill this week. The effort comes after Senate Republicans blocked the formation of an independent, bipartisan commission to probe the attack, in which hundreds of former President Donald Trump’s supporters violently broke into the Capitol and interrupted the certification of President Joe Biden’s victory. The new, partisan House panel would have eight members appointed by Pelosi and five appointed “after consultation with” Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy. A Pelosi aide said the speaker is considering including a Republican among her appointments, which would bring the likely partisan split to 7-6. The aide was granted anonymity to discuss her thinking. Pelosi said in a statement that Jan. 6 was “one of the darkest days in our nation’s history” and that the committee will seek the truth about it. “The Select Committee will investigate and report upon the facts and causes of the attack and report recommendations for preventing any future assault," she said.

Many Republicans were concerned about such a partisan probe, since majority Democrats are likely to investigate Trump’s role in the siege and the right wing groups that were present for it. Almost three dozen House Republicans voted to create an independent panel, which would have had an even partisan split among members. Seven Republicans in the Senate supported moving forward on that bill, but that was short of the 10 Senate Republicans who would be necessary to pass it. As laid out in Pelosi’s legislation, the new select committee would have subpoena power and no specific end date. The panel can issue interim reports as it conducts the probe. Trump is not explicitly referenced in the legislation, which directs the select committee to investigate “facts, circumstances and causes relating to the January 6, 2021, domestic terrorist attack upon the United States Capitol Complex and relating to the interference with the peaceful transfer of power." The panel would also study “influencing factors that fomented such an attack on American representative democracy while engaged in a constitutional process.”

The House passed the bill to form an independent commission last month, and Pelosi, D-Calif., said it was her preference to have an independent panel lead the inquiry. But she said last week that Congress could not wait any longer to begin a deeper look at the insurrection so she would form the select panel. She has not said who will lead it.

Still, Pelosi said that the select committee could be complementary to an independent panel, should one ever be formed, and that she is “hopeful there could be a commission at some point.” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., has said he might hold a second vote, but there’s no indication that any GOP votes have changed. Many Republicans have made clear that they want to move on from the Jan. 6 attack, brushing aside the many unanswered questions about the insurrection, including how the government and law enforcement missed intelligence leading up to the rioting and the role of Trump before and during the insurrection.

Others in the GOP have gone further, with one suggesting the rioters looked like tourists and another insisting that a Trump supporter named Ashli Babbitt, who was shot and killed while trying to break into the House chamber, was “executed.” Two officers who battled the rioters, Metropolitan Police Officer Michael Fanone and Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn, have been lobbying Republicans to support an independent commission and met with McCarthy on Friday. Afterward, they said they had asked McCarthy to denounce GOP comments downplaying the violence.

In the absence of an independent commission, Fanone said he asked McCarthy for a commitment not to put “the wrong people” on the new select panel and that McCarthy said he would take it seriously. McCarthy's office did not respond to requests for comment on either the meeting or the legislation to form the select committee. The officers also asked McCarthy to denounce 21 Republicans who voted earlier this month against giving medals of honor to the U.S. Capitol Police and the Metropolitan Police to thank them for their service on Jan. 6. Dozens of those officers suffered injuries, including chemical burns, brain injuries and broken bones. McCarthy, who voted for the measure, told them he would deal with those members privately.

Seven people died during and after the rioting, including Babbitt and three other Trump supporters who died of medical emergencies. Two police officers died by suicide in the days that followed, and a third officer, Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, collapsed and later died after engaging with the protesters. A medical examiner later determined he died of natural causes.

Amazing how some people insist on going down with a sinking ship. Even worse when they're insist on being "useful idiots" for the Deep State about it, spreading the lies of the real "pieces of crap" who shit on our capital and Constitution. Ah well...the water's are cold and brisk, and I hear that can be quite refreshing, which is good, because when the Titanic sinks, there's only room for Rose on that piece of floating debris. As the Tool song goes,  "Learn to swim, learn to swim..."

(Joke. There was room for Jack on that flotsam in TITANIC. Only everyone was too blind or stupid to see it...and it makes for a more dramatic ending, I guess...everyone loves a doomed Byronic romance..."Promise me, Rose"...)

But anyway...Never mind at looking at the full context/story...Forget Antifa and their ACTUAL, ongoing attempts at an insurrection..Forget Pelosi and the rest of the anti-American tyrants, sell-outs, and traitors...You're an Objecivist, right? RIGHT? Well, then, let's lynch that piece of shit little old lady over there! She let Jack drown!  FIGHT THE REAL ENEMY!!!

Well, then, someone will be happy to know that I wasn't talking about Trump supporters THAT way.  (And that person's comment was intellectually dishonest, knowing damn well that I wasn't.) But there you have it. Where some prefer to spread the propaganda, willfully evade the evidence to the contrary, while turning a blind eye to the REAL attempts by the left, the swamp, Antifa, etc to have a REAL insurrection against America, I see  the Trump supporters as they truly are, DEFENDERS of the Constitution.

Progressive Activists Storm white House Demanding Biden Make Climate Change A Priority

Quote

It will be interesting to see how the mainstream media and Democrats who have been pulling their hair out shouting “insurrection” since January 6 respond to this.

On Tuesday a group of left wing activists from the Sunrise Movement stormed the White House demanding that Joe Biden put climate issues at the top of his priority list, as around a dozen protesters were arrested, Human Events reported.

According to reports, protesters blocked all ten entrances to the White House, demanding Biden succumb to their Green New Deal agenda and include a fully funded Civilian Climate Corps in his infrastructure bill.

Today we showed up to @JoeBiden’s doorstep with 500+ people and blockaded every entrance to the white house, demanding that he include a fully funded #CivilianClimateCorps in his infrastructure bill.

Secret Service then arrested dozens of us. pic.twitter.com/hpBSrhnhF1

Rep. Jamaal Bowman was one of the many lawmakers who  were with the activists and they demanded that Biden “go big and bold and visionary for our country and for our future and for our planet.”

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was among the lawmakers that participated in this raucous protest.

Of course I knew, and I thought you would be intellectually honest enough to acknowledge that I was trying to be humorous. I will make it up to you with a silly sentence. Saint Peter buys sweeter liter of original diet coke, not being a repeater of eater cheaters and teetering off his summer, fit in last year’s swimsuit, diet.  It’s 12:45 here and 77 degrees. Tomorrow’s high will be 96.

It is a dilemma.  Should all of history be re-seen? The reboot of a USA with slavery is not good to see. It is shameful. But it is our history. My granddaughter is going into the sixth grade. What shouldn’t she know about? What do you think is too painful to revisit or re-live?

Ultimately she should learn the truth, as the proper outcome of any worthwhile education. If she goes to a school that is controlled by the government she will be instructed in what whatever is deemed appropriate by ‘them’.

What will your children teach her ? I doubt they would acquiesce to knowing let her be indoctrinated with untruths.

There seems to be a growing ground swell of pushback against race based ideologies, let’s hope the momentum increases and continues.

I am not bragging but I have a degree in English and a degree in secondary education grades 5 to 12 from Salisbury University. Two other younger family members are teachers. The ideal of teaching or network news for that matter, is to report the facts/history or the news, without an ideological slant. “Just the facts, ma’am” as Sergeant Joe Friday used to say each week on “Dragnet.”

But there is always an ideological push from the NEA, state and county employee honchos, and to a lesser one from the teacher’s unions, to teach an agenda. In my neck of the woods, the texts, selected by the higher ups roosting in Annapolis, are similarly slanted to a degree. I noticed that many years ago. But other than selectively teaching segments of texts which can lower test scores, you are partially judged by standardized tests completed by your students . . . which are created by ideologues to suit their agenda. Bah. I liked business as a profession a lot better. Peter

Well perhaps we could expand reserves, give them a bunch of crown land that was formerly theirs.  Give them what they want. Self government etc etc.  However if we do that they are truly  on their own.  No modern anything.  No money, no more free university, no modern medicine, no free housing no anything that makes modern Canada modern.  No trucks, no imported food, no tech of any kind.  Let them go back to their traditional way of life.  Who knows? Maybe it will do them some good.

To those that want to embrace the rest of Canada let them.  But…no hand outs, pay taxes and work like the rest of us.  No more free rides for guilt payments of something our own ancestors did to them..

Oddly for “my sort” I am glad that former Presidents like Teddy Roosevelt, put aside some awesome land for national parks. Is “crown land” thought of in that way in Canada?

On a sad note: The Crown's executive producer has explained why the royal biopic won't continue beyond season 6, which will cover key historical events of the early 2000s before concluding. Suzanne Mackie has said that creator Peter Morgan "can't write something" unless at least 10 years have passed between a real-life event and the show's later portrayal, as he needs that time to allow perspective.

We have provincial and national parks.  Technically crown land but treated differently than regular crown land.  Up here crown land can be used by the public for hunting and fishing without needing “landowner permission”.  You can often get a permit for firewood as well.

Here in Chilliwack the natives have become prosperous by using their land-base to their own benefit. For example, the Tzeachten 'band' manages its own lands, leasing parts of its holdings for urban construction, industrial uses, farming and (in the larger coalition of Chilliwack area bands) leasing land to major shopping centres.

It would be hard to put all of that back in the bottle.  There is no more Crown land to bid on ...

The River Cree casino is the most successful casino in Alberta but has had roadblocks to already negotiated refinancing by the province.  The province withheld funding for no known reason, causing an unnecessary default on the loans…
I'm not anti protest as long as it is peaceful.  When groups or individuals start pulling down statues, threatening other citizens who fly the Canadian flag on Canada day, burn churches, and break the rule of law.  Fuck your anger…go to jail do not pass go..do not collect your welfare cheques…

Mural Honoring George Floyd in Toledo, Ohio Destroyed by Lightning Strike

Quote

A George Floyd mural in Toledo, Ohio was destroyed by a lightning strike Tuesday afternoon, according to witnesses.

WTVG reported their Doppler Radar did show a lightning strike on the same block as the George Floyd mural at 4:30 this afternoon.

The lightning strike, which hit directly on George Floyd’s face, reduced the mural to a pile of bricks.

:)

Here is another report from the mainstream saying everybody is heartbroken about this. They can pretend that's true, but the religious people are going to have a field day with this one.

I think most everyone else not invested in the mainstream fake news narrative will find the story amusing.

Man, that was right in the pusser.

:)

Wanna bet that there will be people who will not accept the fact that lightening hit and believe the damage was done by white racists?
