Conspiracy theorist and radio host Alex Jones said on his show Tuesday that he was deposed by the House committee investigating Jan. 6 and that he exercised his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination "almost 100 times." . . . . "The questions were overall pretty reasonable. And I wanted to answer the questions. But at the same time, it's a good thing I didn't, because I'm the type that tries to answer things correctly, even if I don't know all the answers, and they can then kind of claim that's perjury" he said.

You need to bone up a bit on Alex.

Calling him a radio host is like calling Walt Disney a cartoon graphics artist.

It's correct, but not a good description due to the massive part it leaves out.

From Fox News. AUSTIN, Texas – Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones blamed the various claims he's made over the years, including that the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre was a hoax, on "psychosis," according to a deposition the "Infowars" host has given as part of a Texas lawsuit. Jones described his conspiracy thinking as a kind of mental disorder during the deposition taken earlier this month for the lawsuit filed against him by the family of a 6-year-old who was among the 20 children and six adults killed in the Newtown, Connecticut, attack, the Austin American-Statesman reported. Jones said during the deposition that he "almost had like a form of psychosis back in the past where I basically thought everything was staged, even though I'm now learning a lot of times things aren't staged."

From Modus Operandi . . . .  For Alex Jones, demands that he be forcibly medicated show that despite speaking utter nonsense, he also often speaks the truth. In some way he is lucky; he has the diligence and business acumen to turn his stream of consciousness into a livelihood and had he not he would have likely been labelled as a schizophrenic by now. But one need only research what he is saying to recognize that his statements often are grounded in realities that are not simply uncomfortable to one side of partisan politics but to the basal assumptions that modern consensus reality functions on. Alex Jones is thought of as a threat not because he often says things that are clearly nonsense, but because he says them with conviction; his existence unseparated from the world of the sane is a reminder to the world of the sane that our truths and perspectives may be couched in falsehoods that we have left unquestioned.

Peter,

Some thoughts on the nature of censorship.

People who are truly fruitcakes never need to be censored. Anybody can see their fruitcakedness for themselves and the fruitcakes are always pushed aside.

The only people authoritarians seek to censor are people who are not as they--the authoritarians--say. And why do authoritarians need to censor in this case? Because when people go to hear or read or watch the ones they censor, people discover that the authoritarians have not been correct. And then they start doubting the authoritarians.

Censorship only serves authoritarians. Censorship never serves anyone else.

(I'm not talking about censoring spam, pornography and things like that. I'm talking about censoring ideas through censoring the people who promote those ideas.)

I might be wrong, but from your writings, you show you only know what censors say about Alex Jones. You don't show knowledge of Alex himself or his audience. That's your choice, of course.

But even Steve Bannon now calls him (direct quote and he says it often) "the great Alex Jones." Joe Rogan and Alex are pals who call each other all the time. Tim Pool and Alex interview each other at times. And so on.

Just some things to think about...

Michael

Return of the Jedi’s Q’Anon Luke Skywalker: “No. You’re coming with me. I’ll not leave you here, in Ukraine. I’ve got to save you.”
Darth Vladimir: “You already have, Q Luke. You were right. You were right about me. Tell your fuzzy buddies . . . you were right.”

Very interesting said Arte Johnson on the TV show Laugh In.

From USA Today: Why is there support for Russia on the far right? Putin has a long history of cultivating and providing material support to far-right leaders in Europe and the United States, according to Andrew Weiss, a Russia expert and vice president for studies at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. In exchange, those leaders parrot Kremlin talking points, Weiss said. America's far right shares a common enemy with Putin and Russia: the West's liberal values and the cabal of elites they say controls the economy and the media . . . . Kesa White, a researcher at PERIL who tracks white supremacists and other groups, said she's also seen another narrative gain traction online. "They're saying that Putin is enabling the 'white genocide,'" White said, referring to the longstanding racist trope that white people are being disproportionately killed across the world by people of color in order to undermine global white supremacy. "They feel that their white brothers and sisters are being killed, and having to fight for something that doesn't necessarily pertain to them."

The post above should not be in Trump Humor.

I discuss this issue in another thread here.

But to keep they good vibes up, here is a chuckle.

An oldie but goodie. Megyn Kelly is featured, but replace her with the predator class and the chuckle is just as valid.

(I'll do a Trump funny--like in the title of the thread--in another post.)

Fireworks! Trump Walks Out of Interview with Piers Morgan After Arguing Over 2020 Election Fraud (VIDEO)

IMG_2438.jpg
WWW.THEGATEWAYPUNDIT.COM

President Trump sat down for a one-on-one interview with Piers Morgan. The full 75-minute interview will air April 25 on Piers...

Here is the promo video just in case anyone missed it so far.

(It's also in the article.)

:)

Now, why is this in Trump Humor?

Think about it. What is the phrase that comes to mind when you see this?

I know what comes to my mind: professional wrestling.

:)

These guys did a perfect metaphorical pro wrestling match, at least according to this promo video.

But to show mastery, they did it in such a manner that all sides get exposure. If you love Trump, he's the baby face and Piers Morgan is the heel. If you hate Trump, Piers is the baby face and Trump is the heel. All with an enhanced emotional charge in the public designed to make everybody share.

(Can you believe this SOB? etc. etc. etc.... :) )

So everybody is now talking about President Trump. (And the stolen election.)

And everybody is talking about Piers Morgan. (He's become relevant again.)

All sides win.

Pure marketing genius and performance magic.

:)

This thing was too scripted to be anything else. I predict sometime in the not so distant future, Trump and Morgan will be good buds again.

:)

I think Trump was more or less angry to be challenged about his false claims. Further marketing research can be found in Piers Morgan's "opinion" piece in the New York Post, which purports to tell what happened before and behind the scenes.

You have to credit Trump for sitting down and waiting for what he knew would likely be coming, if the insinuations by Morgan are true -- that Trump was "briefed" on Piers' hot-and-cold Trump quotes.

It will surprise no one that the videos provide non-fungible tokens for every Trump-loathing force who makes TV commercials and viral memes.  The sweaty, angry, name-calling Trump cuts ...

How all hell broke loose after my fiery showdown with Trump over his stolen election claims

William,

I never figured you to be a fan of professional wrestling, but go for it.

:)

We all are going to see what we all are going to see in that interview.

We all are going to feel what we all are going to feel in that interview, and that is guaranteed to be more than normal.

But most of all, we all are going to talk about it.

:)

btw - I trust no one will say Trump would never stage something like that. Hell, he loves this stuff. And Piers Morgan is a worldclass hambone. :)

The guy who plays former President Trump on SNL is funny but my favorite Saturday Night Live skit is Celebrity Jeopardy with Will Farrell as Alex Trebec, Sean Connery played by Darryl Hammond, Burt Reynolds played by Norm Macdonald and that squinty eyed guy from Third Rock From the Sun played by Jimmy Fallon. I didn’t remember Jimmy until I just took another look at it, but Jimmy appeared in several variations of the skit. There are other variations, one with Icelandic singer Bjork played by Winona Ryder, Robin Williams appeared, etc.

Peter,

How Jonah Goldberg (the anti of the anti-Trumpers) has fallen.

This is a takedown done in the lah-tee-dah elitist spirit he aims to be.

Darren Beatie affecting intellectualoid snark that is mostly put-down gossip is a hoot.

Here is the cartoon by Ben Garrison they talked about.

I wasn't clear on the specific thing that caused Beatie and Harrison to go off on Jonah Goldberg.

But I just now saw why they did.

It's even funnier than the gosh darn satire.

This dude thinks only billionaires know best who to run as GOP candidates. He thinks the common people should not opine or donate to other candidates because they are too stupid and they are endangering democracy.

Dayaamm!

He just opened inroads to a whole new threshold for selling out the middle class.

I want to rebut him, but I have no words to address that level of cluelessness.

Let his public image drown.

It will and nothing can stop it after this pearl of wisdom.

That's all I can think of.
