George H. Smith
I made the following "unlisted" YouTube video especially for OL. It features a wonderful track from Roger Bissell's new CD, "Reflective Trombone." My text is self-explanatory.Ghs<object width="640" height="505"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e14DkVOWzO8?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0&color1=0x3a3a3a&color2=0x999999"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e14DkVOWzO8?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0&color1=0x3a3a3a&color2=0x999999"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e14DkVOWzO8?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0&color1=0x3a3a3a&color2=0x999999" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="505"></embed></object>

George H. Smith
This is another track from Roger Bissell's latest CD, "Reflective Trombone." This beautiful tune was written and arranged by Roger. If you have never heard Roger play trombone before, you are in for a treat. He is one of the finest jazz trombonists working today.Ghs<object width="640" height="505"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJtXcegHHW4?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0&color1=0x3a3a3a&color2=0x999999"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJtXcegHHW4?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0&color1=0x3a3a3a&color2=0x999999"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJtXcegHHW4?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0&color1=0x3a3a3a&color2=0x999999" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="505"></embed></object>
Brant Gaede
If I were as good a thinker as Roger is a musician, Ayn Rand would have shined my shoes.--Brant Edited September 14, 2010 by Brant Gaede
George H. Smith
If I were as good a thinker as Roger is a musician, Ayn Rand would have shined my shoes.--BrantRand might have even dubbed you her intellectual heir. Good thing you made the edit. I was wondering what "shinned my shoes" meant. I feared it was some kind of weird sexual fetish. I asked Roger's permission to make these promotional videos because I like the album so much. They will probably be taken down in around a month, after the album becomes commercially available. Jerry Biggers
I'm not really a connoisseur of jazz music (although I am intrigued by Pat Boone's "Heavy Metal" debut album: "No More Mister Nice-Guy)." I was wondering if Roger has embedded any subliminal messages within these tracks? You see, I have a relative who loves jazz, but is afflicted from his long and dutiful service carrying ideological baggage for the MSM. So, I was kinda hoping that, if I send him a copy of Roger's CDs, will he suddenly feel an overwhelming desire to read Atlas Shrugged? Well, never mind, he'd enjoy the music anyway. Seriously (no, really), even though I am "epistemologically-challenged" in the jazz genre, I really did enjoy these tracks. Unless there is a copyright issue, why don't you leave them up on this site? Edited September 16, 2010 by Jerry Biggers
Roger Bissell
Hey, y'all (yes, I've quickly reacclimated to life in Tennessee)...I now have my CD's page set up on CDBaby. If you're curious, you can listen to brief clips of each tune, and you can read the album notes as well. And you can order a physical copy of the CD, or do a digital download of the album or of one or more individual tracks. Check it out!And thanks again to GHS for posting two of my originals with entertaining video accompaniment on Utube. And to those who have already ordered copies from me personally!Best, REB
Robert Campbell
Heidi and I have been listening to Reflective Trombone and enjoying it.My only complaint is that it's too short. At 33 minutes, it's just right for an LP...Robert Campbell
