Guyau
Was the Nelson in your list the philosopher at U. Colorado who wrote some articles for The Objectivist? As far as I know he was the only person who knew both Rand and Wittgenstein. To survey the career of John O. Nelson, click the Look Inside of this book at Amazon and scroll down to the Foreward. It includes his personal acquaintance with Ayn Rand, and earlier, with Wittgenstein. From the follow-on to Peter's question on page 1 of this thread, it appears most likely Prof. D of the seminar was John O. Nelson.
Reidy
Thanks for the tip. Another possibility is Richard Neutra, the architect whose Von Sternberg house Rand lived in. He came from Vienna, and he and Wittgenstein knew some of the same people.Wittgenstein had a brief career as an architect - one house in Vienna for his sister and her family.
