Newberry
Jeff Larson, not to be confused with Brian Larsen, is an outstanding fine artist. He accomplishes a very difficult task of painting people outside, live--direct from nature. One of the huge problems is that outdoor light changes so quickly--but the pluses are a vitality of color, and a fresh feeling to the overall painting. Here is my online version of the review I wrote for The New Individualist. I hope you enjoy it. The artist did. MichaelP.S. Thanks Ellen for finding the typo. Jonathan
Nice review, Michael. Thanks for posting it. I especially enjoyed your description of Larson's Rose Print as "one of the most beautiful romantic works" that you have ever seen. It really is a beautiful painting.J
Ellen Stuttle
I haven't had time yet to read the review. I love the painting you posted -- shimmering.Re:"Jeff Larson, not to be confused with Brian Larson":I do believe it's Brian LarsEn. Using the correct spelling would help with not confusing these VERY different painters. (Insulting to Larson's ability and originality to be confused with Larsen.)Ellen___
