Chris Grieb
I am not sure where to put this post.Mike Wallace is 90 today. He had a very early interview with Ayn Rand after Atlas Shrugged had been published. Ayn Rand liked him at the time of the interview. People on Wallace's staff including Edith Efron became interested in Objectivism as a result of that interview.Wallace has interviewed lots of famous, infamous and ordinary over his long careerHis son Chris is a regular on Fox News. His oldest son died in his 20ths.
syrakusos
Happy Birthday to Mike Wallace! His interview with Ayn Rand comes and goes from You Tube, but is up right now. I find it with "Mike Wallace Ayn Rand" in the search box. It has three parts. As I watched it, I was impressed with the way he fed her questions. He seemed to "get" the philosophy and to be in favor of it. That might be only his skill as an interviewer, to bring out the person, rather than to corral them. Reidy
A collection of his interviews, in video and print, is available at http://www.hrc.utexas.edu/collections/film/holdings/wallace/ (not the one with AR; perhaps it belongs to whoever sold it commercially).
