Hillary Clinton

Recommended Posts

I've read on the web that Hillary read Atlas and is an admirer of AR.

Considering her socialist ideas I find this quite puzzling. Didn't anything sink in?

I would love to see those links.

I did a google search for "Ayn Rand". There are a few million entries so I began selecting those I might be interested in. At least 2 or 3 referenced Hillary but I honestly can not remember which ones. I will re-do the search, since I want to see again the video of Rand giving her last talk in Louisiana at the National Committee for Monetary Reform, shortly before her death.

I'll post both links when I find them.

Thank you.

I wonder if these "threads" came out of the Goldwater campaign which, if you were not in it, you missed a great "ride", "campaign".

My only problem at 17 was:

a) I expected anyone confronted with irrefutable logic, supported by hard data, would have to conclude with our argument!

Ahhh, to be 17 again, lol; and

B) I was in Queens County in the State of New York. VERY Democratic - this was 1964 - Johnson holding the bleeding body of JFK in the collective psyche of America;

c) The famous, or, infamous "Daisy Ad", which is being currently compared [a very pale reflection] of the new Mark Penn ad:

sorry about the link, but the "Daisy Ad" is second down on the left.

The New Clinton Ad of the phone ringing at 3 A.M. in the morning, at the White House...begs the question.

It is easily refutable and has been eviscerated by a counter punch ad.

Can someone tell me why the American voter would "tangentially" place this insane Marxist in power?

Today, the Marxist, Hillary Clinton actually "launched" a universal pre-school program which would only cost about 5,000,000,000.00 dollars.

And where is that map for Galt's Gultch?

Your question: "Can someone tell me why the American voter would "tangentially" place this insane Marxist in power?"

I believe the looters (Hillary, and the others) and the paracites (those seeking hand-outs) are perfect for each other

One can't exist without the other-a symbiotic relationship.

It sure is depressing.

Las Vegas:

Sorry about missing this link that you sent.

"Ayn Rand fans range from Hillary Clinton to Alan Greenspan -- he was part of Rand's inner circle and read Atlas Shrugged in manuscript -- to thousands of libertarians on internet news groups." I intend to call the authoress and attempt to either get a time frame on the reference or no citation on the reference.

http://womenshistory.about.com/mbiopage.htm - hmm, not the most vibrant curriculum vitae that I have seen, but...

As I heard the story about Hillary liking Rand, it was apparently in her much younger days that she was a fan. I assume that she has since seen the light. I hope so. I'd hate to think that she still admires Rand but understands not one word of what she read.

P.S. Her husband doesn't even know what "is" is.

Adam,

You wouldn't be accusing Hillary Clinton of consistency, would you?

:)

I read in several places over time that she was a fan of Ayn Rand, but I just now tried to look up a quote and got tired of looking. The closest thing I found was that she was a Rand fan when she was young and working as a volunteer on the Goldwater campaign, but this was not substantiated, just affirmed.

Speaking of Goldwater, I took a look at YouTube and came across a gem from Raymond Massey. I can't help but think about the wisdom of 20-20 hindsight and sigh wistfully about what has developed in Iraq. It is reasonable to think we would have learned by now, but there it is.
