Victor Pross Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 (edited) Caricature: Let ME Draw You! A Unique Gift! I’m going to resort to shameless commercialism here, but I figure its okay because this is an Objectivist forum after all. Here’s my special offer: I love to draw—love it! I want to draw a caricature of you, dear OL member. Yes, for a price. Do I look like an altruist? But I will provide a considerably lower rate from my usual fee. Why? Because I love you [see, I do have a sense of humor]. You could also consider a caricature drawing as a Christmas gift. Now, no need to worry—I do draw benevolent and restrained caricatures that will neither be “grotesque” or “too exaggerated.” All you need to do is forward me a few photos of the victim…that is, the subject, and let me take over from there. Believe me, this will be an incredibly unique gift for the special somebody, family member or friend. All you have to do is PM me, here at OL, and we can talk. I love to draw. Please…pleeeeease let me draw you or somebody you know. All I need to know is something about the subject—their career, loves, habits, expressions, hobbies, interests or whatever—and it’s off to the races! You’ll love the results. Trust me. BAMF Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 This is a good idea! I'd love for you to draw me, but there's no way in hell I'm posting my picture anywhere (plus, I don't know how much they cost!). Sorry
Victor Pross Posted November 17, 2006 Author Posted November 17, 2006 Kori, You don't have to post your picture in public. You can send me a PM and we can discuss it from there. Hey, I can draw you with Manson. Wooo-eee!Victor
BAMF Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 (edited) Aww. That'd be sweeeeetola. I'll think about it (I just don't like showing my picture). How much do they cost? Edited November 17, 2006 by Kori
Victor Pross Posted November 17, 2006 Author Posted November 17, 2006 (edited) Aww. That'd be sweeeeetola. I'll think about it (I just don't like showing my picture). How much do they cost?A super detailed 11 x 14 inc black and white drawing would only cost a super cheap 100 bucks! [American] You are getting this Toronto artist at a great rate--trust me on that! :} The reasons why I am making this available to OL members is simple: I love to draw, and I'm damn fast and always want to sharpen the skills. Plus, there are a few who have already approached me, and so I wanted to post something that is out in the open, to make an offer. They will have an original work of art and they can cash in on my ass after I die. Hee-hee.edit: You would have to show me your post, or else your caricature would look like this:I don't like showing my picture Edited November 17, 2006 by Victor Pross
BAMF Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 (edited) Nobody should miss this opportunity. I will probably have to wait a while until I have the money. I've been spending money left and right lately, now that I've got my debit card back. Badass Victor Pross caricature: Priceless Edited November 17, 2006 by Kori
Danneskjold Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Hundred bucks is a little pricy for me. Too bad too. If I was gonna buy one though, I'd ask for an honest characterization of me. Just to see if I liked it. That might be hard though, you'd have to dig up my posts or talk to me a lot to get a correct impression of what I'm like.
Victor Pross Posted December 5, 2006 Author Posted December 5, 2006 This is to thank those who contacted me by OL private message or by my own email. It was a lot of fun and you must let me know what the victims…I mean, the subjects…think of their caricatures. As you can see, I’m into major detail and for the price…you got the best ever. B) Also, a BIG thanks goes to Rich for taking me own to paint his first CD. [see, the man is smart!]
