Michael Stuart Kelly
The New Anti-Human-Trafficking Movies I will add more details to this thread later. For now, let's just say that Jim Caviezel starred in an anti-human-trafficking movie that opened in the theaters last weekend and got better box-office returns (over $40 million for the weekend) than the latest Indiana Jones movie did. The movie is called "The Sound of Freedom." The marketing caption is: "America's children are not for sale." But there's more. This is merely the warm-up act for Mel Gibson's new production about rampant pedophilia in Hollywood and in the world. The success of "The Sound of Freedom" means there will be a slew of these movies. A change is coming and I am glad to see it. Here's a little teaser about what runs these men (and others like them) deep in their souls. You don't have to be a Christian to admire this. I know I do. I admire it enormously. I admire the people involved. Michael

An "Anti-Human-Trafficking Movie" is a movie which is anti or contra [Human-Trafficking] But an "Anti-Human Trafficking Movie" could be a movie about trafficking which is antihuman!! I do love the content of your post!
Michael Stuart Kelly
S, Fixed. Thanks. I found the full Caviezel video. Man, is he a powerful speaker. He might be acting some (he's an actor after all), but I also feel deep sincerity and passion. Steve Bannon is interviewing him as he is going to a screening of this movie with President Trump. Michael That's number 1 including the fact that so many theatres are shutting off the air con systems and other plays to keep folks from watching it. Michael Stuart Kelly
On 7/13/2023 at 6:32 PM, Michael Stuart Kelly said: The marketing caption is: "America's children are not for sale." I made a mistake. The correct phrase is "God's children are not for sale." Kat and I just saw this film. Utterly fantastic. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The storytelling aspect was out of this world great. Setups and payoffs galore. Anticipation. Keeping you guessing. Even the montages with music were fantastic. Top quality production values like any blockbuster. The basic story is not about showing gross shit. It's about a government agent working on a human trafficking project and getting meager results. Even in a sting, they only got pedophiles. They didn't recover any children. So the agent makes his case and is allowed to go after one boy in Columbia. While there, with the aid of others in Columbia, he has the mission grow to rescue over 50 children on an island. But the sister of the boy is still out in the world, sold as a sex slave, and the agent goes after rescuing her. I've been studying story for a few years now. I know for certain they pulled out all the storytelling stops on this one. And for the tearjerker moments, don't go see this movie without a handkerchief or a box of tissues. I never cry. But I did watching this movie. (Kat teased me. ) In a special message at the end of the movie, Jim Caviezel mentioned that seeing a film in a movie theater is different than seeing it on TV or computer or mobile. There's size and no interruptions, so messages in the film, if told correctly, land hard. He's right. They do land hard that way. I believe this sucker is going to help change the world for the better. It's outperforming most major Hollywood productions at the box-office with a hardcore moral message landing just as hard as it can on the audience--cognitively, emotionally, entertainingly, and inspiringly. This is a wonderful experience in today's bullshit culture. Go see it and see for yourself. I imagine you will love it as much as I did. Michael Stuart Kelly
I finished. This was one hell of a great interview. Paul Hutchinson, the executive producer, has personally participated in over 70 undercover operations of the sort shown in the movie. His cover is blown from so many missions, so he is now devoted to spreading the word. A character in the movie was based on him, the rich finance dude who provided the funds after the government pulled out. I am grateful that people like this are in the world today amidst the crap we are constantly bombarded with in the culture. Michael

Michael Stuart Kelly
This may not seem like much, but I have seen this movie and still remember it vividly. President Trump is going to become the most powerful man in the world again and I have no doubt he will remember it. Vividly. Guess where a huge effort using all the resources of the government is going to be aimed at? Shit's gonna fly when he's back in office. Michael Stuart Kelly
This is called making a difference. BREAKING: Trump vows to institute death penalty for child traffickers after screening 'Sound of Freedom'"I will urge Congress to ensure that anyone caught trafficking children across our border receives the death penalty immediately." BREAKING: Trump vows to institute death penalty for child traffickers after screening ‘Sound of Freedom’ THEPOSTMILLENNIAL.COM “I will urge Congress to ensure that anyone caught trafficking children across our border receives the death penalty immediately.” This is what great storytelling that reflects reality can do. Then trick of effective propaganda is that it includes portions of hot-button truth. This allows people to ignore the parts of reality that contradict it. But when there is great storytelling that meets the full truth head on, the only parts that will not reflect reality are storytelling things. In this case, they condensed several real episodes into one story, made up characters and things like that. And those things are forgivable and expected. There are no collisions with reality of child trafficking per se. If anything, in The Sound of Freedom, the magnitude of the evil was downplayed, not exaggerated. Michael Stuart Kelly
Incidentally, this is the secret of Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead. Without those two works, Objectivism would not be anything but a blip on the radar. Humans think mostly in stories. That is a fact of the human brain and mind. So Objectivism without the stories does not spread except to a small number of people. Add the stories and off it goes. This is why great storytelling allied to parts of reality and truths that are not imaginary, but instead are full reality (within the confines of the context that frames the stories) change the world. This was even how The Communist Manifesto helped break the hold of the social bonds under a royalty system of governance that was adding capitalism to it. The storytelling in it (and told in other works) of the working man alienated from the product of his labor in order to be a more effective slave to an immoral upper class resonated within that context. It was true--the full truth for the downtrodden. And, to Russia's bad luck at the time, there was an immense number of downtrodden who were learning to read. I doubt that work would gain traction in today's context if it were presented now instead of back then. It certainly did not impact American society of the time in the same manner it caught fire in Russia. This goes into the gnosticism versus reality ideas in the James Lindsay thread. For gnostics (and people who use that form of thinking), their imagined "superior reality" is the standard they use to judge everything. That imagined superior reality is their starting point, not a plan to try out and see if it can be done. For them, it is already done and mankind merely has to catch up to it and make it real in today's reality. Their great storytelling (and there are some great works) turns into propaganda for the most part because that vision is not real. Reality ultimately destroys their visions. (Utopia, "real reality," and things like that.) But that also means their scapegoats include a hell of a lot of innocent people. This is one of the reasons bodies pile up under them. When Rand defended individualism and reason with great stories, or when The Sound of Freedom people defended protecting children from adult human traffickers and child predators (not just sexual), they are both dealing with reality as it exists. Individuals and reason are not part of a "real reality" that humans have not caught up to. Child slavery is not part of a "real reality" that humans have not caught up to. They are real. This is a long topic and it is part of the work I have developed in my own private projects (which I hope will see the day of light before too long). But this notion of real versus totally made up visions as the reality context of stories that move the world is one of the reasons I am so excited about this movie. It is doing everything right. And for proof, watch the impact this is having and will have on the world. You are witnessing it in real time. It's like watching a flower grow and spread seeds. You are seeing the first sprout right now. Michael
