BaalChatzaf Posted August 10, 2016 Share Posted August 10, 2016 You can see the Perseid Meteor shower after sunset on Aug 11 into the wee hours of Aug 12. About 150 meteors an hour. Find a dark place, lay on your back so you won't get a crick. The best seeing will be after moonset around 1:15 Am and on until dawn You don't need binoculars. This event happens each year as the earth plows through the debris in space left by the Perseid comet. There are other meteor shows produced by other comet trails.
