  3. The magistrate judge Reinhart filed a ruling today. It sounds to me like he is not going to side with the government. Some punditry is speculating wildly, so reading the ruling itself can probably guard against confirmation bias.
  4. All Polls are Wrong, and some are wrong in interesting ways. This NBCNews survey seems to back up some of Tucker Carlson's recent programming -- that the Democrats are (at least temporarily) showing more 'get up and go' recently -- potentially driven by a combination of issues which have inflamed discourse. Eg, abortion "rights" and "American democracy" herself. To my eyes, the Democratic energy still gives way to GOP energy looking ahead to the elections on November 8 2022. It all depends on the framing, says A Truism. 5. Allen Weisselberg, Trump Org financial officer, was indicted back in June of 2021, noted here on OL: So at least one person will be tied to the stake finally. What effect would a charge against the Trump organization have on its finances going forward, if any? The org seems to be facing tax fraud (in the matter of real-estate valuations) and the inaugural committee seems to be facing corrupt self-dealing (in that they had inaugural events paid for by donation, but profits skimmed by the location hosts) ... The only thing I heard that seems half as likely as not is that lenders may jettison contracts with a business under indictment. If the various banksters holding varied debts/mortgages/loans pull the plug on some Trump world contracts, what then? Weisselberg pleaded guilty to 15 felony tax fraud charges. From today's vantage it looks like I was asking the wrong questions in 2021 -- or rather presuming financial consequences contigent on this indictment. Today, the possible wrongly-posed or loaded questions that arises in my mind is "What now?" and "What next?" ... while various pundits are examining details to determine if Weisselberg has agreed to testify in any other Trump Org finance proceedings in and out of New York City. Half of these sources answer yes. Longtime Trump executive Weisselberg pleads guilty in tax fraud scheme GROUND.NEWS Former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg on Thursday plead guilty to tax violations and admitted to helping run a years-long tax fraud scheme at the former president’s business.

If you are a fan of stalwart Garland Favorito, he's up right now. The best aspect of this summit for me and the Internet Sleuths I mob around with is the state-by-state presentations with plentiful "slide decks" ... both skeptics and truth-seekers will have lots to investigate given the visuals. The production for this event blows "The Pit" out of the water, IMO -- especially the A-Z review of states. Except perhaps in that there is rarely/never any distribution of documentation. Neither one delivers. [subject to some edits today.]
  7. I searched for Alexander Dugin's name here, but found nothing. A lot has been written of him in the West, especially among those who try to discern/discover Russia's soul, but not yet on OL.

The "foreign policy wonk" community is well-funded and often seems to be at once Deep State, paranoid Intelligence Community and several other varieties of spook, nerd and mouthpiece of "US interests. Luckily, they never agree.

Alexander Dugin, in the paranoid spook mouthpiece community, is a source of Russian leadership's philosophy. Some of what he has written can seem insanely fascist to ... at least some American ears. But ...

Anyhow, defenestrations and assassinations are no surprise when they happen in Moscow (think Clinton Body Count), but this car explosion is shocking. In the context of war, maybe not completely, but if the early reports from TASS and breathless Twitter accounts, this explosion will make waves.

In other news from far away, another round of explosions of ammunition stores inside Russia near Belgorod.

Glenn Beck has been talking about the danger of Dugin's ideas for years. I must have some old stuff here on OL about him. I'm pretty sure we have talked about him given the amount of coverage Glenn gave to him..

I just did an online search and Glenn never stopped talking about Dugin.

  18. It's a reasonable point -- it's arguable at least. But that brings up the mystery of "the data the documentary is based on." Gregg Phillips has promised "The Pit," which is a place and an event where he will be sharing data from True the Vote. This has something to do with pulling a ripcord. Yesterday was the The Pit, and some of the 'internet sleuths' I hang out with on the Mules file have had some commentary. I won't add that unless asked, as the discussion space over the data promised is very large and contested. Here is a link to a Rumble page that hosted a fourteen-hour long live feed of the venue that participants gathered at. The public part of the day-long event has been chopped up into various lengths (and I found them using "the pit rsbn" as the search term to find the two below). The longest excerpt is four plus hours, which tracks with what I was covering. The first excerpt opens with Christina Bobb, the Trump lawyer at Mar-a-lago during the FBI search and seizure. 19. Roy Moore topic thread branch: From NewsMax: The lawsuit centered on one TV commercial that recounted accusations against Moore. Moore's attorneys argued the ad, through the juxtaposition of statements, falsely claimed he solicited sex from young girls at a shopping mall, including another 14-year-old who was working as a Santa's helper, and that resulted in him being banned from the mall. The advertisement began with: “What do people who know Roy Moore say?” It followed with the statements “Moore was actually banned from the Gadsden mall ... for soliciting sex from young girls” and “One he approached was 14 and working as Santa’s helper.” Wendy Miller has previously testified that she met Moore when she was 14 and working as a Santa’s helper at the local mall. She testified Moore told her she was pretty, asked her where she went to high school and offered to buy her a soda. He asked her asked her out two years later, but her mother told her she could not go. Moore’s attorneys argued the juxtaposition of statements in the ad painted Moore in a false light and falsely made it look like he was soliciting sex from girls at the mall. “In their ad they strung quotes together to make a single statement. That’s what the jury found offensive. They got up and lied and said they didn’t intend that,” Jeffrey Scott Wittenbrink, an attorney for Moore, said. The Senate Majority PAC had argued the ad was substantially true and that there were widespread reports about Moore’s inappropriate behavior at the mall. An attorney said they planned to appeal. According to a Thursday court filing from Senate Majority, a Gadsden police officer who worked as security at the Gadsden Mall in the late 1970s — J.D. Thomas — testified that he told Moore not to return to the mall after receiving complaints from store managers that Moore was asking out teen employees or making them uncomfortable. Moore maintained he was never banned from the mall. “No amount of deflection or distraction from Roy Moore will change the fact that multiple individuals testified under oath to corroborate credible accusations against him. Many others have come forward to make their allegations public, at serious personal cost. We do not think this verdict is the right decision, but we believe the facts are clear and this ruling will be overturned on appeal," Stafford, an attorney representing Senate Majority PAC, said in an emailed statement. "Big setback for Pedogate yesterday. France got a pedophile as it's first lady."
  20. This was quite wrong, in two or three ways. Setting up the question to invite a plumbing of Donald Trump's mind is arguably okay. But then using an "everyone knows" gambit loads the dice. Gratuitous. Fail. Marks docked for not anticipating that the magistrate would need to deal with a DOJ motion to unseal the warrant and return document (inventory). If I had, if I had then correctly guessed that Trump would not send an objection to the motion by deadline, and that the judge was persuaded by the public interest argument, C. I did not foresee the Attorney-General coming out of his mole run. I'd assumed that a rare talker before microphones was a never talker. It all adds up to fail. The key element of hubris: presumption. Next time simply ask an open-ended question ("What do you all think might happen?") and not a loaded or leading question. In retrospect, my failed mind-read of Trump should stand as a warning. Thus chastised, he read on ... Using more of this quasi-neutral register when speculating or in ignorance, recommended. Wild, snide, haughty, exuberant or otherwise pointed rhetoric can be used, but not as a glossing over. It's okay to not have an immediate opinion. Typed with one digit on my mobile phone.
