Cariad
Today I got a contribution solicitation from the World Wildlife Federation in the mail. On one side of it is the following quote, attributed to Ayn Rand. The difference between animals and humans is that animals change themselves for the environment, but humans change the environment for themselves. It made me chuckle. Rich Engle
Obviously, she never had to live in a trailer park.
Jerry Biggers
If the abbreviation was WWF, then the correct name is World Wildlife Fund (not Federation). The guys with the panda logo. Or are you referring to the NWF (National Widlife Federation)? The WWF claims to be the largest conservation organization, with 5 million supporters and an annual budget of $447 million (2008).Regarding their use of a Rand quote (has it been verified?), maybe they are attempting to capitalize on the recent surge of interest in Atlas Shrugged?Or maybe the Panda put them up to it? We should consult our "agent" in Shanghai on this matter.
