Joel Pollak for Congress

Recommended Posts

The race is tightening up. According to an article in today's Wall Street Journal, Jan is around 60% but they had their first "debate" and Joel probably picked up some support. I know I'm seeing more signs for him around.

Kat:

This is the year for a massive change. There are twenty-one (21) days left [approximately 504 hours]. Hell, Barney Frank in Mass 4 has now moved from safe Democratic to "leans" Democratic.

Anything is possible this year. The key is getting his opponents positive number to about 50-51% by Halloween, then with a psyched election day operation and some bad weather, he can win.

I do not know what his internal field polls are showing, but this is doable.

Here's what Joel is up against.

I saw this first video on The Blaze about a week ago, Jan Schakowsky is showing off her constitutional erudition and commenting on how silly those commoners are in the Tea Party for preaching pitiful weird ideas (like the ones our Founding Fathers held).

This next video was on Real Clear Politics a couple of days ago. Interview mashups from blogs are generally not featured on Real Clear Politics, but this one was. It ain't pretty:

Pat Caddell, a political consultant that knows his business and I respect, said this about O'bama's "inner circle:"

"It won’t be pretty for his party, Caddell says. 'Come the morning of November 2, they’re going to have a cold shower. It’s going to be an Arctic temperature.'

Caddell also took a swing at Obama’s inner circle.

'These are naive idiots who’ve come out of academia and have never done anything real in their lives, and they are actually in power,' he said. 'These are the people we never let in the room when we had serious business to do. Now they’re running the country.'"

Any incumbent who is polling under 50% is in the danger zone.

The latest poll shows Jan now under 50% and Joel gaining ground.

See results of the poll here [iL 9th district poll]

It's getting better all the time!

Go Joel!!!

Send money. Give time. This is a tough race, but winnable and Joel loves Objectivists. He even told me so.

Da Chicagee Way...Ya got dat!

High I am a thug and I will get your vote or else!

"Jan Schakowsky is a Democratic Rep. from Illinois. On Monday she gave a lesson in what she calls a Chicago tradition:

All around the country people are trying to replicate what we do in Chicago. We have a tradition of knocking on doors, of pulling people out. You know, people — they talk about message and persuasion. Her's our message: "I don't get off your doorstop until you get out to the polls and vote!" That's our message! That's our message!"

That's your message!

Incredible!

This creature is on the Board of Directors of the Midwest Academy* which is one of the most radical training academies for marxist progressivism in the United States:

Cathy Hurwit, Member (Rep. Jan Schakowsky)

CathyHurwit_0.jpgCathy Hurwit currently serves as chief of staff to Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), where she also has responsibility for universal health care, senior and labor issues. Prior to joining Rep. Schakowsky's staff in January 1999, she was a legislative affairs specialist at the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). She served as legislative director of Citizen Action, an independent consumer and environmental watchdog organization, for twelve years. With her particular focus on health care, Ms. Hurwit was the founder of the Campaign for Health Security and served as its chair from 1991 to 1998. She also co-chaired the health care task force of Jobs with Justice and served on its executive committee. She provided technical assistance on single-payer and state implementation issues to President Clinton's Health Care Task Force. Ms. Hurwit served as energy policy director for Representative Toby Moffett (1976-1979), adviser to the House Government Operations Committee's Subcommittee on Environment, Energy and Natural Resources (1979-1982), and legislative director for Representative Ed Markey (1987-1989).

Another Board of Directors Member: Paul Booth was a leader in the 1960s at the beginning of the student movement as National Secretary of Students for a Democratic Society, the largest organization of the emerging youth movement. In 1965 he directed the first march on Washington, D.C against the War in Vietnam..."

Dems Gone Desperate: Schakowsky Caught Electioneering in a Polling Place

by Publius This video, from a Rep. Jan Schakowsky 'get out the vote' rally in Chicago, got some attention for the interviewers questioning of Schakowsky on the constitutional basis for ObamaCare and the Democratic Socialists. Overlooked was a far more interesting, and very serious, segment of the video.

Monday was the first day of 'early voting' in Illinois. Between now and November 2nd, any Illinois voter can cast their ballot in certain designated polling place. The prohibition on electioneering, i.e. campaigning inside a polling place, still apply, even if the voting isn't on election day.

At about the one minute mark, Schakowsky joins a group of people walking into an early voting precinct. She is asked if she is excited about voting that day:

Actually I'm gonna walk in with these folks but I'm gonna vote on Election Day

You can't do that.

Only people voting, election officials or credentialed poll watchers can enter a voting precinct. We don't know exactly what she did or said inside the polling place, since the cameraman, observing the law, stayed out of the polling place.

But, we don't need to know. Her presence alone constitutes electioneering.

An article from American Thinker

Why Doesn't Everyone Know Jan Schakowsky's Husband Wrote ObamaCare in Jail?

By Stella Paul

I know who's got my vote for the cutest couple since Bonnie and Clyde. It's the larcenous lovebirds from Chicago: Jan Schakowsky, the most far-left member of Congress, and her bank robber husband, Robert Creamer, who wrote Obamacare in jail.

What a romance! She waited as he served time for sixteen counts of bank fraud, selflessly devoting herself to trying to impeach Dick Cheney and to showering federal funds on her biggest, most ethically challenged contributors.

And he persevered inside the graybar hotel, aflame with the inspiration that became Stand Up Straight! How Progressives Can Win, a 628-page manual for how "to reshape the structure of one-sixth of the American economy" -- namely, health care. [Read article]

I was hoping Joel would run again but he has moved to California and is now working with Andrew Breitbart and biggovernment.com

http://biggovernment.com/author/jpollak/

I hope we can find a good challenger for the next election for the 9th. The area up north of us now has Joe Walsh who is doing a wonderful job. We need more guys like that.

WLS Radio’s John Dempsey Reports

CHICAGO (WLS) - A lot of reaction Wednesday morning to Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky's interview with Don Wade and Roma.

Schakowsky said that Americans don't deserve to keep all of their money because we need taxes to support our society.
