Hudgins to Speak at New York City Junto Meeting

On Thursday, April 1, Edward Hudgins, The Atlas Society's advocacy director and senior scholar, will speak at the New York City Junto meeting. The event will be held at the General Society Library at 20 West 44th St. in the Big Apple. Admission is free. Socializing begins at 7:00pm, announcements at 7:30pm, and the talk at about 8:00pm.

The topic will be "Secularism, Psychology, and Objectivist Ethics."

Dr. Hudgins will discuss new secularism in America that challenges all religious beliefs based in part on the discoveries of evolutionary psychology about the nature of human minds and the possible biological basis of many beliefs. But sadly, most secularists still favor statist economic & government policies. Yet they're unable to develop an objective and rational basis for ethics on which any policies must rest.

Enter Objectivism! Hudgins will argue that Ayn Rand's philosophy can demonstrate to these secularists that freedom in all areas of our lives is the logical way to go.
