At this point the effort is simply to increase the number of congresspersons of each party who are willing to cosponsor the HR 1207 Federal Reserve Transparency ACT of 2009. At last count there are 92 cosponsors 79 Republicans and 13 Democrats but the pressure of emails and petitions on virtually all the others is persistent and powerful thanks to C4L.Needless to say all of those involved are inspired by the achievements to date and can taste victory not just in this endeavor but in the efficacy of the pro freedom movement which Ron Paul has ignited. The purpose of HR 1207 is just to enable the Congress to audit the Fed which Bernanke has characterized as being "counterproductive" or "unproductive." This effort to get HR1207 passed is not the same effort as the End The Fed movement.
