Is Geithner open to China proposal for a "global currency?"

Michelle Bachmann, Congresswoman from Minnesota, interviewed Secretary of the Treasury Geithner as a member of the Congressional Banking Committee and questioned him about whether he was open to a proposal from China to establish a "global currency." During that interview he denied being open to that.

She went on to question Geithner about where in the Constitution he found the authority to do what the Treasury has been doing this year. Despite her repeating the question and redirecting him to cite the authority in the Constitution Geithner continued to refer to authority granted by the Congress.

The next day when she spoke with him again he reversed himself and said he is open to a "global currency."
