Here is the link to a five minute hard hitting speech:

Another video can be found once that video ends among the videos which appear along the bottom of the screen, about the Council on Foreign Relations, which is worth knowing about. It is only 4 minutes long.

Damn it Ron Paul, you screwed up!

Sure, he stated his case, truncated necessary details that would make the issue complex. However, he failed in the most basic principle of public speaking: cater to the audience.

Ron Paul did not make clear distinctions between the current economic crisis and The Fed, he only gave lip service to the association. Ron Paul did not discuss how The Fed moves interest rates such that the priviledged few gain while the common man at the end of the chain loses.

Perhaps the worst neglection of Ron Paul's speech was that he did not address and counter the fact that The Fed is a great and powerful political device. By having The Fed, the government has no budget limitations, gains from inflation (by being one of the few "priviledged"), and can use Fed-originated money for earmarks. The Fed is a great boon for politicians as well as the rich, and unless it's made clear why it would be in a politician's best interest to get rid of The Fed and related benefits, The Fed will remain there for enternity.

Damn in Ron Paul, you screwed up!

Never did meet a critic that built a bridge!

It takes a social worker to build a bridge, a stimulus package to hire the social worker, and The Fed to help fund the stimulus package!

Christopher (proud to be a critic)
