A demonstration of successful persuasion in action in the real world today.

At the moment the membership has reached 103899 and is likely to reach 104000 tomorrow sometime. 23Feb 104536

These are not just numbers but actual human beings, fellow citizens, who are persuading others to join them in this movement to restore our constitutional republic.

This exercise has been ignited by Ron Paul who has brought certain facts and perspective to ordinary citizens during his campaign.

Admittedly we all saw Obama ignite his own following enough to get nominated and then elected. But in his case he appealed to certain emotions rather than actual ideas. His performance was also appealing because of his eloquence and the fact that he was able to remain cool and congenial while being articulate. Still, although he radiated confidence and encouraged everyone to join him in taking advantage of this moment in history to accomplish something, such as electing the first black man to be president, he managed to remain obscure regarding just what he would do. More importantly he did not identify what he considered to be the diagnosis of the condition which besets our society.

Ron Paul did just that with regard to the diagnosis of the economic plight we endure. He spoke of the role of the Federal Reserve System and its effect on the status of our currency. He enunciated in no uncertain terms that the Federal Reserve has inflated the currency since its creation in 1913 causing continual erosion of the purchasing power of the money each working taxpayer earns to the point where the dollar has lost over 95% of its value over those years.

He spoke of the role of the Congress in ignoring the limits enshrined in Article 1 Section 8 of our Constitution and its consequences.

He voted "NO!" over 300 times in his ten terms in the Congress because the Bills in question gave the central government powers not authorized in the Constitution. Most of those votes were the only No vote cast. This revealed a man of principle, courage and integrity.

Thousands of youtube videos included Ron Paul's questioning of the Chairman of the Federal Reserve who showed a profound ignorance of economic history and principles.

He spoke of the foreign interventions engaged in which have led to the animosity felt by foreigners which have been hurt by those interventions. In particular in that regard he spoke of how the CIA imposed the Shah of Iran into power in 1953 in place of an elected president there and how that Shah proved ot be a brutal dictator who oppressed his people for decades.

In case you wonder just how those members within the Campaign For Liberty manage to persuade their friends, neighbors, strangers or fellow students to join the movement those are some of the reasons and arguments they present to them.

At this moment the membership has grown to 103902. And so it goes!

Obama is clearly not keeping his promise to be transparent and open as he said he would see to it that 48 hours would be kept between the presentation of his stimulus bill and the vote on it. He is helping us to recruit more citizens to the cause of liberty and freedom.
