Yaron Brook in Forbes

1. A nice article and a breakthrough for Objectvists to be published in major magazines and professional forums. But it has taken forty-plus years to begin to see this. It's not even today as if Objectivists are constantly appearing in print, on the magazine racks. (Let alone bookstands, but that's a whole other subject.) A major way to get a foothold in the mainstream culture is to gain credibility and influence in a professional specialty -first- which has nothing to do with Objectivism: Edwin Locke - industrial management, Nathaniel Branden - psychology, Allan Gotthelf - Aristotle, David Kelley - logic ... and now, Yaron Brook - finance. Who am I missing?....

2. "Yaron Brook is managing director of BH Equity Research and executive director of the Ayn Rand Institute." - the order of listing these may just be due to what would be the strongest credential for the readership of this particular subject and publication. But I would be upset if he is making 300K a year running ARI and that is not -in fact- his full-time job, as the above blurb might suggest. Managing all the projects ARI is doing is a full-time job. So is being involved managing an investment and finance firm since the markets and investments change every day.
