Danneskjold
So we're doing reading about the WWI-WWII time period in History class and we're doing lit groups with people in our class. So, because the time period roughly fit, I suggested that We the Living be included in the options for books to be allowed to be read in the lit groups. Then I got my entire table group to put it down as their number one option. I was pretty happy about that one.

Danneskjold
Too funny, I found out fourth period today that not only did I get it on the reading list, but a bunch of the girls in my class thought it sounded like an easy read and signed up for it as their number one option. Chris Grieb
Jeff; You might want to check Mayhew's Essays on Ayn Rand We the Living. ARI sold a book that I can't find the title which dealt with life in the USSR. I want you to know you are a culture warrior and you aren't even in college. Keep up the good work. Danneskjold
This just in, 6-7 kids have signed up and are going to be reading We the Living in lit circles. It is the most chosen of any book (although I have no clue why seeing as none of them have any clue as to the content). In other news, this gives me an excuse to buy it. Charles R. Anderson
Good work Jeff. When they finish the book, some of those girls will have a different view of socialism. Some will be crying, so you may have an opportunity to hold some hands.
Chris Grieb
Charles; I suspect that Jeff has already thought of that possibility.
Charles R. Anderson
Of course, the possibility will be an empty one if all the girls are vacuous. We will have to hope one or more are worthy of interest.Although some men do not like women to be intelligently interesting. It depends on your lower threshold for being bored. I remember some painful dates in high school in Tulsa with some pretty girls who were nice and fairly good students, but could not be enticed to say anything interesting. Danneskjold
Every bookstore in mine and the adjacent few cities is sold out of We the Living. No joke. That's what happens when x amount of kids in eighteen history classes decide to read the book (six in mine, making it the most selected book in my class).
