Chris Grieb
Ayn Rand was at the White House twice during the administration of Gerald Ford. The first was for the swearing in of Alan Greenspan as head of the Council of Economic Advisors. The other was a reception for Malcom Faser the Prime Minister of Australia. The book Facets of Ayn Rand on pages 101 and 102 has Miss Rand's description of the event. In 1976 Ayn Rand endorsed Gerald Ford over Ronald Reagan for the Republican nomination. She supported Gerald Ford over Jimmy Carter. These were the only times she was ever at the White House.
