R&B Singer Ruth Brown Has Died

Sadly, Rhythm and Blues singer and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Ruth Brown has died . She had a number of hit songs in the 1950's for Atlantic Records. Brown's popularity waned in the 1960's and she stopped performing. She would not perform again until the mid 1970's, at the request of her friend, Red Foxx. Brown was awarded both a Tony and a Grammy award. She also had a roll in the John Waters film Hairspray. "Miss Rhythm" will be missed.
