Sharon Presley died on October 31.

A libertarian like Jim Peron captured by the cultural left.

i probably had dealings with her when the Laissez Fair bookstore opened in on or about 1972 in NYC across the park from New York University. Liked her.

like Jim too even though he kicked me off his Facebook page

Brant,

For some reason the forum software itself said I had to approve this topic. It's probably something to do with the Announcements section.

That wasn't me.

I mentioned Sharon's passing in another thread about her started by George Smith while he was still with us, but I'm glad you gave her passing its own thread.

Here's what I wrote:

Sharon Presley has passed away.

Now, with George gone, too, there are two bright luminaries in the libertarian and O-Land world that shine no more except through their works.

Chris Sciabarra gave her a lovely tribute.

Sharon Presley (1943-2022), RIP

I only interacted with Sharon for a short time, both here on OL and off, but we still continued to be cordial after we parted ways on current politics.

Man, was she grumpy at times. :)

But I loved her spirit. I would not have changed a single thing about her.

I am going to miss her.

I think I was the only one in the universe who was able to tell her my political leanings and support for you know who and not be banned in some manner by her.

:)

But we still kept a distance because of that.

I liked her.

I hope I was able to make her smile at times when we did interact.

I repeat, I miss her.

Michael
