Argentine prosecutors: Arrest former Iranian president

Leave it to Argentina to get the ball rolling on holding Iran accountable for sponsoring terrorism.

In 1994, there was a terrorist bombing of a Jewish cultural center in Buenos Aires known as the AMIA Bombing. Eighty-five people were killed and over 200 were wounded. (According to the Wikipedia article, "It was Argentina's deadliest bombing and the largest single incident of terrorism against Jews since World War II.") Hezbollah, with backing from Iran, are believed to be behind the attack.

Believe it or not, Argentine prosecutors just asked a federal judge for international (and national) arrest orders for the arrest of former Iranian president Hashemi Rafsanjani and seven others. Of course this is later than it should be because they had to get rid of a corrupt judge down there first. But still, they are doing something.

As a quasi-Brazilian, I don't like Argentineans in general, but I proudly take my hat off to them for this.

Bravo.
