BaalChatzaf
Today is the 540 th anniversary of the birth of Nichola Kopernick (Copernicus). N.K. rediscovered what Aristarchus knew, that the Sun is in the middle and the planets go around it. He didn't get the orbits right (he thought the orbits had to be circular) but Johannes Kepler straightened that out and paved the road for Isaac Newton to come up with the first reasonable model of gravitation.
