One thing I know for sure is increasing the explosive power of a bomb by X results in X minus Y increased destructive ability, all else being equal. Twice the power of the Nagasaki bomb would not have doubled the radius and amount of destruction--far from it--even assuming equal target value throughout. (But the additional damage would have been considerable, maybe 5-10% more--I dunno.) A delivery vehicle with multiple warheads precision guided is much more valuable against military targets than one big city busting bomb. In the 1950s my uncle was a B-36 navigator out of Ramey AFB in Puerto Rico. This gigantic bomber carried one gigantic bomb. There was no room for more. (I don't know but it may be true that even then they could have carried more, smaller bombs, but the idea might have been the primary target was possible but secondary targets much more problematic, so hit the primary as hard as you can with a city buster.)
