Robertson, a Green Beret who was shot down over Laos in 1968 and has been living in a village there ever since. He was captured and tortured for over a year, then released, probably brain-damaged. He was reported killed in action. A "high official source" told the filmmaker that he remains in Asia, not because the Vietnamese did not want to let him out, but because the US did not want him back. Oh America!
