Mark
The video was stultifyingly slow in spots. Boring music except for Yankee Doodle Dandy at the end (I’d forgotten that line: "And with the girls be han-dy.")Criticism of content: Ron Paul demonstrated abysmal ignorance when he said in the heat of debate that Oklahoma City bombing / Timothy McVeigh had been dealt with well, and implied that the Underwear Bomber was what he appeared to be.On an agreeable note: "There’s not a dime’s worth of difference between them [Mitt Romney and President Obama]" -- Andrew Napolitano
Peter
Andrew Napolitano was quoted as saying, "There’s not a dime’s worth of difference between them [Mitt Romney and President Obama]"end quote That is a mistaken belief that ten minutes of rational comparison could fix. Go to Ron Paul’s and Mitt Romney’s websites and you will see that their views coincide, except on the Libertarian issues of drugs, and how to defend our nation. Paul says he is not an isolationist, and if we are attacked he will defend our country. In comparison, Mitt Romney would extend our surveillance and reach a bit further than New York Harbor and San Francisco Bay. In contrast Obama is a radical neo fascist / socialist disguised as a Harvard graduate. The President was just on TV asking that Congress give him the power to combine and eliminate government departments. Why should they? That can be done without giving a power mad ‘wannabe’ dictator more power. Obviously this is step one in his Clintonesque attempt to paint himself as a moderate. If Congress is not willing to give him more power he will block any attempt of theirs to combine and eliminate departments so he can campaign that they are a do nothing Congress. Mark
The video linked to in my post shows Napolitano arguing that Romney is about as much a statist as Obama. He argues from their actions, not their words.Romney isn’t comparable to Ron Paul, politically they’re in different leagues. Romney thinks in concretes (and mostly gets it wrong), Ron Paul in principles. Ron Paul on the principle of private property.
