I haven't seen the film, but if the claim is that these women were essential to NASA (in other words the flights wouldn't have happened or would have taken a lot longer) is there any evidence that this is true?

In case people haven't heard, Perigo will be debating Yaron Brook on February 10 on Amy Peikoff's show. Topics will be immigration and Donald Trump.

I think Temple said he wanted to discuss Szasz, Popper and Reisman favorably. Apparently not three of Harry's favorite people.

Ayn Rand's beliefs on immigration were fairly clear though she did not write about it extensively. She was in favor of it.
To the best of my knowledge she didn't write about it at all.

This guy was apparently banned from HBL. (go to "recent comments")

I listen to Brook's show and I don't think he said how he voted.

Maybe we should write a book, The Passion of Donald Trump's Critics.

Does Mr. Brook have an area of expertise?
Finance, I guess. But he thinks he's an expert on everything. He said The Bell Curve was mostly wrong, but it was good science then and the evidence is only getting stronger.

Yaron Brook attacks the alt right.
I don't know much about the alt right (from what little I do I think Brook misrepresents it) but he doesn't have a clue about IQ.

I'm waiting for the next bio of Rand.
You may have to wait a long time.

I reposted it and it went back up/

My review was taken down!

Even conservatives and neo-cons realize that immigration is making the country leftist and on the verge of giving the Democrats a lock on the electoral college. I can see where I live being changed (for the worse) by immigration. I know people throughout the country who have said the same thing. I have a friend whose family is from Italy and now, for the first time, they have to lock their doors at night.
According to Brook we are all racists and this can't be happening.

A video tour of the ARI archives.

It's hard to take Brook seriously. I wonder he takes himself seriously.
As far as self-confidence and all that goes, the West was able to colonize most of the Muslim world from 1850 (not sure on the start date) to around 1950 with a minimal number of forces. That didn't cause Muslims to change their ways, nor did that self confidence do anything for the Muslims who started coming into Europe in the late 1950s and early 60s.
10 immigrants for every native? That's the entire population of Muslims times 2.

Has anyone heard anything about Milgram's biography?
-
Michael. I find it hard to listen to Binswanger. I was skimming the program and came across the part about Burns and Heller. That's the only part I listened to in its entirety.
He comes across as quite a self promoter.

He is joined by Shoshana Milgram, who seems unwilling to comment much.

Maybe I'll read some of Cline's fiction. I enjoy his articles but his style leaves something to be desired.

An intelligent critique could have been written of the Branden books, but James Valliant wasn't the person to write it.

Joan Blumenthal published a book on art three years ago:

I liked Burns' book and also Heller's. I hope some day there will be a biography that incorporates all of the relevant material (such is the ARI Archives). But that being said, I don't have any reason to think that the three Rand biographies will be shown ton be "arbitrary assertions."
