Flying a Drone

Was in the desert yesterday with a friend who recently bought a $700 drone. It was tons of fun. His model had the capability to fly up to 3/4 of a mile out and 500 feet high. It also had an HD camera attached for stills and video. Might be my next purchase.

I had fun driving remote cars and trucks yrs ago. It was a short lived hobby, literally, 15-20 minutes of big time fun then recharge.

I live on a picturesque lake close to the Blue Ridge Mountains. There is all kinds of potential fun to be had with a drone here in the wide open spaces. I was on the lower Colorado River for 3 days into LV and have reams of video Ive still not looked at.

I have many competing interests for my dollars. An opportunity opened up for taking lessons in a sea plane. I looked into it and found this which may be of some help given your interest in drones. Up to 2:30
