George H. Smith
I was surfing YouTube when I happened across this animated excerpt from Atheism: The Case Against God on the problem of evil. Unfortunately, at 2:32 the video trails off into some material that is not in my book without so indicating. That is a little annoying. George H. Smith
ATCAG is discussed in many YouTube videos. This video, one in a series, is probably the most polished presentation.Ghs<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFISW7M8uv0&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFISW7M8uv0&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFISW7M8uv0&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Selene
http://randex.org/index.php/weblog/ayn_rand_ayn_rands_atheists_are_crashing_the_tea_party?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Randex&utm_content=Yahoo!+Mail In my research for my forthcoming book * on Ayn Rand’s influence on America, I found that differences over Rand’s atheism were acknowledged by people on both sides, Tea Party leaders and Randers alike. So far they’ve done a pretty good job of keeping things under wraps, but I’m not sure how long that can continue. It’s not just the individual-versus-family debate. Rand’s philosophy is at variance with Judeo-Christian values, from the role of charity in society (Rand felt there wasn’t any) to the responsibility of government to educate its citizens, provide for the poor, and protect the most vulnerable in society through such accepted measures as child labor laws, which Randers oppose.*Ayn Rand Nation: The Hidden Struggle for America's Soul
