I later met him at a restuarant when he getting ready to do his one man show about Teddy Roosevelt.He was a fine actor and a good man. He'll be missed. He was coming out of an adjacent room where he had been working on his Will Rogers just before he took it on the road. A real craftsman. About 1970 or '71. It could have been 1969, even.--Brant edit: checking Wikipedia it couldn't have been 1971; he went on the road with it in '69 or, more likely, '70.
