Democrats vow Socialism

Democrats going back to advocating socialism to try and garner votes. This article makes me sick and this is the main reason I vote Republican.

How does she thinks it is justifiable to force the pharmaceutical companies to lower their prices when if it wasn't for their research, their capital and their iniative there would be no life saving drugs. I wonder what she would do if the pharmaceuticals refused to sell drugs if her legislation passed?

Pelosi also pledged to improve security, reduce dependence on foreign oil, maintain Social Security and oppose deficit spending. Under the plan the minimum wage would rise from $5.15 to $7.25 over two years, the interest rate on student loans would be cut to 3.4 percent and Democrats would approve a "pay as you go" budgeting rule

Doesn't capitalism pretty much solve most of these problems if left alone?

Also it is funny how Democrats are now claiming to "oppose deficit spending" and "approve a pay as you go budgeting rule", they should call it what they want: "opposing deficit spending by ubertaxation" and "tax as you spend budgeting rule".

Let see.. Raise Labor Cost, Raise Taxes and regulate businesses, I'm sure our economy will love it.

BTW: I wonder how many people that actually make minimum wage actually vote? And why do we need to raise minimum wage when we have super low unemployment, it would seem that a lack of workers will naturally raise wages.

I find you all quite quaint to be picking on the Democrats as Socialist. The total control of the federal government by the Republicans has done nothing but bury our children into debt, expand our military daliances in the affairs of other nations and give the rich and powerful more access to the public trough.

Let me ask you a simple question, if the Republicans believe that government is the problem and not the solution, what does that make them when all they do is expand government?

The unchecked growth of government into what has all the appearances of a self-perpetuating entity should be a concern for all people who are producers rather than takers, regardless of political affiliation.

One of the very reasons I quit participating on political forums was because I see no real attempt by either major party to try and reign in what is obviously runaway goverrnment.

Add Arnold Swarzzeneger to the list of "socialists".

A couple of nights ago he was on the Charlie Rose show.

Among his beliefs is the notion the duty of government is to provide education, stem cell research & health care for all Americans.

Makes me want to vomit!
