The game.

Biden: Antagonize, fantasize, and bluster about Russia invading the Ukraine to some way to start a war with Russia. But Russia has to make the first move for Biden to pull it off right.

Putin: Encroach more and more (taking advantage of the war drums the Biden people are beating out with tin cans) to get as much he can without firing a single shot.

It's a game of chicken.

Who is going to blink first?

Biden can't afford to in light of his political situation. He cannot make the first move and his peeps survive politically.

Putin will not blink, either, but for a different reason. I believe he is having the time of his life.

:)

And, no, Putin is not a good guy. But Russia cannot afford a war with the US right now.

Meanwhile, money is flying all over the damn place...

I can't think of a better commentary against the FUD right now than the tweet below.

:)

btw - FUD is term used in the cryptocurrency market. It means Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt. Normally it is used within the context of a story-theme. People gin up FUD artificially by spreading stories of loss, deception and self-deception.

Putin seems determined to risk a nuclear war. Go to the net and research, “Nuclear War Survival Skills” by Cresson H Kearny. Quick to do’s? Save water and learn how to purify it. Buy some Saltines and peanut butter. Save some water for drinking and flushing the toilet. If you see a flash, hit the floor or ground. Peter Here is another quick source.

From Wilderness Awareness School: Basic Survival Skill 1: Fire Fire is the king of survival techniques! Fire can purify water, cook food, signal rescuers, provide warmth, light, and comfort. It can also help keep predators at a distance and can be a most welcome friend and companion. As a survival technique, it is one that is essential. Each and every person who ventures into the outdoors should have a minimum of two ways to start a fire with them – one on their person at all times, and the other with their gear. A few small fires provide more heat than one large fire. Collect firewood you think you will need for the night and then collect the same amount again, experience shows you will need it. Conserve fuel by making a “star fire”; where the ends of large logs meet in the fire only, push inward as more fuel is needed. Make a reflector from your space blanket on the back wall of a shelter to reflect the heat from your survival fire to your back, sit between the fire and the back of your shelter wall. To learn how to confidently make fire, check out our . . . .

Basic Survival Skill 2: Shelter Shelter is the survival technique by which you protect your body from excess exposure from the sun, cold, wind, rain, or snow. Anything that takes away or adds to your overall body temperature can be your enemy. Clothing is the first line of shelter protection, have the right clothes for the right environment. Always have a hat. Do whatever you can to keep the layer closest to your body dry. Layers trap air and are warmer than wearing one thick garment. Do not expend energy making a shelter if nature provides one. Practice building a quick lean-to shelter in case you cannot find your campsite, do not wait until you need to make one. Use a space blanket to prevent dampness, to insulate your shelter, or to wrap yourself up in a sitting or squatting position to concentrate your body core heat. Learn more about creating a survival shelter with this article from The Immersion at Wilderness Awareness School instructor Laura Gunion.

Basic Survival Skill 3: Signaling Signaling is unique among survival techniques in that it gives you the means and ability to alert any and all potential rescuers that you are in need of help. Fire, flashing light, bright color markers, flags, mirrors, whistles can all help you be found. Three fires in a triangular form are a recognized distress signal. Carefully bank your signal fires to prevent the igniting of your surrounding area. Use regular signal mirrors only when you can see a plane, or people in the distance. Use an emergency strobe light at night to help attract attention from those that may be in the area. Make smoky fire with organic material over the fire during the day to attract attention. Lay out ground messages to air signal in an open field, S.O.S. from rocks, logs, or colored clothing, whatever will be seen against the background. Most search and rescue parties use aircraft as a primary method of sighting.

Basic Survival Skill 4: Food & Water Food and water are vital to your survival. Ration your sweat, not your water intake. You can live up to three days without water. DO NOT eat plants you do not know. Never drink urine. Always assume that you will need extra food and water when you plan your trip. Pack energy bars and candy in your pockets at all times, just in case. If possible boil all water 10 minutes plus one minute for every 1000 feet above sea level. Strain water through your handkerchief to remove large particles. Try to drink only in the cool of the evening. Never wait until you are without water to collect it. Have some poly zip bags to collect and store water. Never eat any wild berries that you cannot identify. You can catch rainwater in your space blanket by laying it out in a trench.

Basic Survival Skill 5: First Aid First aid as a survival technique is not just the basic medical needs, it is the primary way in which you act to survive. DO NOT PANIC, remain calm, and do what you have to do to take care of yourself. STOP means Sit, Think, Observe, and Plan. It is the most intelligent thing you can do when you realize you are lost or stranded. The most important element is to keep your brain functioning rationally, this is basic first aid for survival. Analyze your needs before every trip, create a medical checklist, and carry a small personal kit with you at all times. Most survival situations require only dressing for small cuts, bruises, and personal medication needs, make sure you know what you have with you and how to use it. Do not over pack, pack what you feel you will need to carry with you at all times. Prevent hypothermia by insulating yourself in a space blanket. Concentrate on being found, pack a picture of your family in with your gear to remind you of the reasons to remain calm, and to survive.

But, but, comrades. Russia is unimportant to the world economy? What about their Vodka?

From Insider : . . . Harvard economist and former Obama adviser says Russia is 'basically a big gas station' and is otherwise 'incredibly unimportant' in the global economy. Matthew Loh / Mon, February 21, 2022, 10:57 PM

Harvard economist Jason Furman said Russia's economy is 'unimportant' except for its gas resources, The New York Times reported. His comments come as the US and Europe prepare heavy sanctions on Russia if it invades Ukraine. But there are concerns that their plans to punish Moscow will penalize the rest of the world too. Russia's economy is "incredibly unimportant in the global economy except for oil and gas," Jason Furman, Harvard economist and ex-adviser to former President Barack Obama, told The New York Times. "It's basically a big gas station," he said.

His comments come as the West prepares heavy sanctions on Russia if it invades Ukraine. While they have the potential to throw the entire Russian economy into chaos, these measures could also reverberate to further damage the US, Europe, and the rest of the world as they battle inflation and rising energy prices — a ripple effect that the West hopes to mitigate.

On Monday, Moscow declared the independence of two breakaway regions of Ukraine and sent troops there — escalating the prospect of a major war. President Joe Biden has already ordered sanctions on the separatist regions — Donetsk and Luhansk — prohibiting US citizens from engaging in any exports, imports, or new investments in these areas.

Despite Russia's size and wealth in raw materials, its economy is more on-par with Brazil than with nations like Germany, France, and the UK, according to the latest nominal GDP data from the World Bank. According to the World Bank, its economy is weaker than Italy's and South Korea's, two nations with less than half of Russia's population.

But as Furman notes, Russia's oil and gas exports are significant to the world. The European Union imports around 80% of the natural gases it uses, according to the US Energy Information Administration, and Russia accounts for 41% of the natural gas imports and 27% of the oil imports in the continent, per Eurostat.

Fellas, it's too rough to feed ya.
At Seven P.M. a main hatchway caved in, he said
Fellas, it's been good t'know ya
The captain wired in he had water comin' in
And the good ship and crew was in peril.
And later that night when his lights went outta sight
Came the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald."

Before I write anymore about this Russia-Ukraine (and Deep State) thing, I am going to read up on the issue.

Starting with this:

Some Fun Facts Re Russia and the Ukraine

ukraine-map.gif
WWW.THEGATEWAYPUNDIT.COM

The ignorance of history when it comes to Ukraine and Russia is shocking. It also is dangerous. The American public is being fed a boatload of horse manure designed to inflame public opinion and build...

Then I am going to go through some of Lee Stranahan's stuff. He is the most knowledgeable no-bullshit source I know of for this kind of issue, even though his manner or presentation is full of tangents, false starts, and fights he picks with people on his own side when they ignore something he focuses on. So It's going to be irritating. But I believe after a while, I will have a really good handle on this.

Then I will share it with you guys.

From what I have seen so far, there is a Nazi thing that was allowed to fester involved.

And, I will admit it. I don't know what in hell a "Breakaway Region" means. I know in the abstract it means that a region breaks off from its main country, at least I presume that. But in the particulars with Ukraine, did the two "Breakaway Regions (Donetsk and Luhansk) Putin moved Russian military into declare independence from Ukraine? Or is this something Putin made up? Is this Deep State spin and an attempted rise of the neocons? A Biden Hail Mary pass?

And how about all those records from the monkey-business that went on from privatizing the companies of the old USSR? (Russian oligarchs are essentially old KGB dudes who got, for handing over a song and a piece of the big blue sky, massive USSR companies in energy, manufacturing, etc. But they did the dirty paperwork in the Ukraine--which is even why so many shady US politicians have Ukraine in this lives, they got cut in.)

I have no fast and hard idea about any of this right now.

But I will.

More coming.

For President Trump, it's all about the oil and Biden's feckless administration.

Quote

If properly handled, there was absolutely no reason that the situation currently happening in Ukraine should have happened at all. I know Vladimir Putin very well, and he would have never done during the Trump Administration what he is doing begun, oil prices are going higher and higher, and Putin is not only getting what he always wanted, but getting, because of the oil and gas surge, richer and richer. The U.S. was energy independent under the Trump Administration, an independence that we had never obtained before, and oil prices would have remained low. Now, what a mess our Country is in!

A few native Russians spoke to a Western reporter off the record and they do "WORRY' about Putin's actions and their loss in income and life-styles. But they allowed him to get this far and though Russia is not a democracy, that too is their fault. When the USSR fell, they had an opportunity and they failed to have a true "revolution" for individual rights and elected government officials. What would be the best outcome? Cease all Western economic interactions with Russia, and its mob. Hunt down all who are aiding Russia and their imprisonment and looting.

Russia needs the access to the sea where those regions are located , Russia controlling those regions means Ukraine still has access to the same waters. Without the disputed territories and the Crimea someone could choke off Russia's use of those sea routes.

As far as this being an American concern or the west for that matter , it's basically war mongering and balderdash.

Here is Styx reaming Biden a new one over the Ukraine mess.

A blundering, desperate, dangerous hail mary failed yesterday and has been now all but forgotten: https://archive.ph/atYTp Support via donation: Patreon: https://tinyurl.com/y2jothtp Subscribestar:...

Styx's perspective is solely from American eyes, but he nails a few things down that are well-nailed, including the way people are ignoring China in all this.

He also said had Biden not tried to broker a deal, then palm it off to others (including France, of all countries), the US's position would be a lot stronger. But Biden is totally inept and might even cause some hostilities through sheer incompetence.

President Trump's thoughts on Putin going into the Ukraine.

A good chunk of the transcript is here:

Laura-Ingraham-Trump-Ukraine.jpg
WWW.THEGATEWAYPUNDIT.COM

As Russia’s attack on Ukraine began on Wednesday night, Trump called in to the Laura Ingraham show on FOX News to offer some comments. Trump laid the blame on Joe Biden’s weakness as a leader and said...

In short, Trump is pissed.

Weakness is how the world sees the USA right now.

Nothing shows that better than the photo below.

Incidentally, as gravy to the Ukraine mess, this happened.

From the Twitter comments to this tweet, this apparently is something that has been going on for some time (or the tweets are propagandistic trolling), but the timing right now is something to worry about.

It is impossible to imagine the CCP is unaware of what is happening in the world.

And they see the idiot above, too, in addition to how Biden pulled out of Afghanistan, etc. And in addition to owning Biden's ass with personal money.

This is my perspective. I believe it is Trump's perspective, too.

I wish it were the perspective of O-Land, but I doubt it is.

The video is only a minute, but Corbett says more in that minute than all the reams of fake news media drivel.

The big guys are not really at war with each other. They are at war with us, the individuals. And sacrificing us is no object in their activities against each other.

As everyone knows, I use Twitter as one source for breaking news. Even though it is compromised censorship-wise, a lot of good stuff still comes through.

But it's a landfill of garbage, too. In that sense, I try to find people and things like the following.

If you are interested in reading up on the Ukraine hostilities from current perspectives where propaganda has been filtered out (at least for a good part), the sources in this thread look quite good. I haven't had time to go through them, but I will go through a lot of them. I might be wrong on the propaganda part, but the guy who made the tweet (who I know very little about) is followed by a lot of people I follow. That, to me, is why it looks promising. Because of this thread, I just followed him myself.

Just click on the date in the tweet and it will take you to the thread. Then bring your lunch because you are going to be awhile.

I don't know if the following news is real or propaganda, or who to trust ("Me, or your lying eyes?"). I've seen people arguing on Twitter over photos AND video, some people even saying arguing with eyewitnesses from Ukraine, calling videos "Deep fakes" and such.

Me? I'm personally no "Flat earther", I can't see the roundness of the earth from the ground, but I can see the moon and the sun are round, and can therefore extrapolate.  Similarly, I may not be in Ukraine, but I don't have to be a weatherman to know which way the wind blows...Still, "Believe half of what you see, nothing of what you hear..."

Still, to paraphrase THE X FILES..."The truth is out there...somewhere..."
(Over here? There? Under where?)

*"Make sure you're wearing clean underwear..." Well, to quote Bill Cosby (believe him, or not), it's not gonna matter if you're wearing clean underwear, because "first you say it, then you do it!"
But might be a good time to stock up on multiple pairs...along with your extra dry socks and cigarettes...smoke 'em if you got 'em...
