We now have the midterms coming up in about a week.

And it's now November.

So I have one question.

I've always heard about an October Surprise, which is a super-duper dirty trick a political party plays on the opposing candidates.

I just saw October come and go.

I didn't see any surprise.

Did you?

:)

This reminds me of a book I read a long time ago, Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut.

A cat's cradle, for those who are too young to know, is something you do with string or yarn and your two hands. It looks like this when it's done:

This was one of the ways they used to amuse themselves in the old days, I guess.

Anyway, there's a character in the book who is always playing around with cat's cradles, making and unmaking them. At one point, he asks another person (I'm going from memory), "Do you know what's wrong with the cat's cradle?"

"What?

"No damn cat. No damn cradle."

:)

That describes the October Surprise for me this year.

Well... there was damn October...

:)

I think the demoncrats are depressed. The see no way to avert the truth. Every normal person is paying for rent, for mortgages, at the grocery story, at the gas pump . . . They see for themselves . . . so how can the liars make them unsee, by election day?

If you think Biden et al are depressed now, wait till the day after the election.

The election day will be a sweep, the next day will be a nightmare and every day until they get sworn in in late January 2023 will get much worse for these people.

If anyone wants to see Trump's rally in Miami several hours ago, here it is.

President Donald J. Trump in Miami, FL.. November 5, 2022

This rally was notable for three things (probably more, but these three jumped out at me.

1. Trump went overboard in his endorsement of Marco Rubio. He did waaaay more than he normally does, so something is cooking between those two. (And, no, I don't believe it is an invitation to be his VP.) But whatever it is, it's deep. I don't want to say Trump was kissing Rubio's ass, but... well... :)

2. There is a stupid media shitstorm in a teacup that got started the day before yesterday in Trump's rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. He was listing a bunch of names of who to vote for, then he mentioned, almost in passing, "Ron DeSanctimonious."

The media went apeshit and said Trump and DeSantos were finally parting ways and God knows what else. Headlines and the chattering class chattering nonstop everywhere. To go by them, the committee to elect Desantis in 2024 was founded and going strong. This time Trump did it. He's toast. Blah blah blah.

They fucked up. Trump's quip was about a recent political ad DeSantis aired where he riffed off of an old Paul Harvey thing about "God made a farmer." Except in DeSantis's version, the Voice Over kept saying "God made a fighter."

See it for yourself and see how Trump really feels about DeSantis in the opening of his rally in Miami a little while ago.

What a bunch of silly dorks the mainstream media is. And I include a lot of disgruntled Republicans in that silly dork characterization. The finger-wagging from them was worse than from the Democrat side of the predator class. :)

(I like it, though. The feel is the same as back when Trump led the media around by the nose and made them huff and puff in nonstop outrage. :) )

3. This one was impressive. Rain started falling in the last third of the rally and it didn't stop. Everyone got soaking wet, but nobody left. This enormous crowd stayed there and Trump did his entire speech as it rained on all of them. And yes, Trump got soaking wet, too.

Nobody wanted it to end.

I have never seen that in a modern day political rally.

One House Seat Remains to Be Called, but It's Already Over

"On Friday, nearly a month after Election Day, the last outstanding House race finally counted all its votes, and Republican John Duarte was declared the winner in California’s 13th Congressional District — despite the Democratic Party having a double-digit registration advantage in the district.

"At this point, the Republican Party officially holds 221 seats in the House, with just one seat remaining undetermined — Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District. Incumbent Rep. Lauren Boebert (R) has a lead of 550 votes, but her small margin triggered a legally mandated recount.

"The recount was widely expected, but Boebert’s opponent, Adam Frisch, already conceded to Boebert in mid-November, acknowledging that there was little chance that the recount would result in a change in the outcome.

"So, when all is said and done, the GOP will have 222 seats, and the Democrats will have 213."

Wow. One of the best recommendations ever . . . since it came from progressive, “young Ayn Rand look alike” Jen Pasaki. She sees Trumps honesty, free market politics, and sincerity as “evil charisma.” Hey Jen? I would call his charisma as a bit pushy and demanding at times, but otherwise his “draw” is his ability to create an America that is greater, freer, better off, and safer. She oddly softens a bit when describing Ron DeSantis. Trump / DeSantis 2024.

Quote from Insider. Psaki says Democrats and 'sane Republicans' should not underestimate Trump's 'evil charisma' to win the 2024 GOP nomination Story by insider@insider.com (Pocharapon Neamm Jen Psaki said on Sunday that Trump's "evil charisma" helped him win the GOP nomination in the past. Psaki said that Ron DeSantis and Former Vice President Pence do not have what it takes to win the GOP nomination. Several top Republican has condemned Trump for meeting with Nick Fuentes.

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki said on Sunday that Democrats and "sane Republicans" should not underestimate Trump's "evil charisma," which may help him win the 2024 Republican nomination. "I think Democrats and sane Republicans underestimate Trump at their own peril, because in order for Trump not to win the nomination, there has to be a better alternative," Psaki said on NBC's Meet the Press.

Psaki continues by saying that Ron DeSantis and Mike Pence might not have what it takes to win the Republican nomination against the former President. "Ron DeSantis, this man – he's either the savior or he's currently at his peak. Mike Pence, with all due respect, didn't exactly light the world on fire politically before he was selected by Donald Trump to be his running mate," Psaki said. "Trump has some evil charisma that helped him win the nomination," Psaki added. end quote

Herschel Walker lost the bid for Senate in Georgia to The Socialist for the Predator Class.

But I'm not worried. You might have noticed that I didn't post about it as the election went along.

The reason is that I expected this loss. Don't forget the Drop and Roll technique waiting in the wings.

But I expect to see a few other things, too. As the investigations into voter fraud unroll, and as election systems get cleaned up, I expect to see a Senate position or two flip from Dem to Republican over election fraud.

I don't know how long that will take, but if the mess in Arizona goes as I believe it will go and Kari Lake gets in, I see this happening not too long after with Senate seats where election fraud took place.

Biden can still do some damage with a majority Senate, but I don't predict it will be something that can't be undone.

He should enjoy it while he can, sort of like being served vintage scotch on the Titanic on the night it sunk.

Rand Paul was on the radio yesterday( Clay and Buck show , I think) and his main point was that the House is going to pass a huge new traunch of spending and 'debt ceiling' chicanery that will likely get through the Senate. He points out that the filibuster still in place means that only 41 R votes could stop the legislation but that at least a dozen Senators will more than likely vote for passage , sure hope the effort to clean up the elections process happens( I do believe it will) but the problem is still the Washingtonafication of elected officials.
