We only got to see this video because it was leaked to a foreign news agency. It's good this thing is exploding right Ellison's his secret place where the sun doesn't shine. He is a nasty junkie for the authoritarian high.

Fentanyl most likely weakened Floyd's breathing system to the point where it was easy for him to die. But there is no excuse for 8 minutes of a cop's knee on his neck. What was Chauvin thinking? Without that, what the cops did was 100% understandable and correct. No bullying. No racism. No nothing other than trying to arrest a suspect (for passing a $20 dirty dub) in a calm manner and trying to reason with him.

Agreed.  The cops were trying to be reasonable with Floyd and not go out of their way to do violence. 

Chauvin's carelessness is reprehensible, and so, too, were the officers standing by. Long before Floyd stopped moving and grumbling they should have checked his condition and rendered aid.  They were so ignorant they didn't even realize he was no longer moving or even breathing--and still pressing down on his neck.  It didn't even occur to Chauvin that he was pressing down on an unconscious person, let alone a dead one.

In a similar situation many years ago, I was working security one night in Las Vegas and got a call about suspicious activity in one of the parking lots.  I was clean on the other side of the property and started making my way over.  By the time I arrived, someone had already called the cops and there were six of them surrounding a familiar SUV in the parking lot.  Someone had seen the man sitting in his car acting strangely and called the cops.  The man had locked himself in the vehicle and refused to open up for the cops.  He wasn't violent, but goofy, looking drunk and sluggish, putting a potato chip bag over his head and jeering at the cops, laughing, unconcerned, staring at his dash board and other nonsense.  The cops were screaming, "Open the fuckin' door!" and starting to get excited, the testosterone was exploding into gang violence.  Guns were drawn. One of them walked over to a cruiser and opened the trunk to fetch a battering ram to smash out a window.  The cops just didn't take the time to realize this guy was unaffected by their presence and oblivious to anyone or anything going on around him.  Their ignorance was astonishing.  It was too easy to see.  Then I realized who the guy was and intervened.  "Wait, guys, wait!  I know this guy.  He's a regular here and he's diabetic.  He's probably hypoglycemic right now."  I sent one of our security to the cafe to fetch a large orange juice with five sugars in it.  The cops looked at me doubtfully, shooting glances at each other, but thankfully they stopped hopping around like kangaroos and let me go on.  They kept their eyes on him and their guns out and kept the vehicle surrounded.  I stepped beside the driver's door and talked to him through the window, smiling, "Hey, bro', open the door for me, will ya? I gotta get something out of the car I forgot in there.  It'll only take a second."  My play worked.

"Uh, oh, yeah, sure, man, here ya go."  At that he reached over and popped the lock.  The cops shoved me aside and opened the door, pulling the man out of the car and face down on the asphalt, cuffing him.  He did not put up a fight.  The poor fella looked more confused than anything else. Finally our security arrived with the orange juice and sugar.  We sat him up straight and I asked if he was diabetic.  He nodded his head, "Yeah, I got it pretty bad.  I did something really bad, didn't I?" He was still nonsensical.  I asked him if he wanted to drink.  He did.  We managed to get him to slam the entire glass of OJ and sugar and he started to come around but was nowhere near fully functioning.  I summoned an ambulance to our location.  The cops finally calmed down and put their guns away. The ambulance arrived quickly and took over, putting glucose packets into him.  Still he wasn't coming around fully, but wanted to get up and walk around.  A good sign.  I convinced the cops to remove the cuffs and we got him to his feet.  We walked around the parking lot with him, but he was still out of it.  Finally, they gave him glucose intravenously and that did the trick.  He came to and looked around.  Suddenly fully aware of himself and his surroundings he asked, "What happened?"  We explained to him what just occurred.  He started to cry and apologized.  We explained there was nothing for him to apologize for.  He said he had come to the casino to get the famous Wednesday night chicken dinner and the last thing he remembered was arriving and parking his car.  I told him he had come to the right place and dinner was on the house tonight.  He agreed and went inside to sit a while and eat.  I got him a booth and had his dinner served so he didn't have to wait on the usual long line.

Had I not known this guy and stepped in he probably would have been killed.  In a similar situation, Las Vegas Metro pulled a guy out of his car on the Strip and thumped on him badly for no reason other than they knew they could all get away with it.  Which they did.  But their victim sued and it cost the taxpayer 14.5 million dollars.  

Be careful out there.  Cops are not trained to care and don't care one bit for your well being.  The proof is in the training.  You do what you train.  Period.  In their minds, in their training, everyone is suspect and a cockroach.  Everyone.  If I were a praying man, I would encourage everyone to pray hard that you never get arrested or have a bad run in with a cop.

Was there only one ‘8 minute and 49 second’ video? I’ve never seen an entire video of the incident, but most of the clips I’ve seen seem to be of Floyd on the ground and from the same angle. 

 Given  the amount of obvious exposure , and the nature of social media , is it odd that not much seems to be known about the person who took ‘the video’? Or is this person known and I just missed it?

Yes, there are usually many videos. I don't particularly believe Floyd even died. It could have been faked, it all looked goofy as hell. They worked together in the past, they knew each other. When you have some time try pinning a friend down with one knee to his head/neck and see how long it takes just about anyone to get out of that. What I see in the video looks like playtime, story hour, make-believe, false flag. They needed rioting in all the cities and they engineered a pretext for that.

I don't think this one is going to skate. Both Mayor Lightfoot and Soros puppet State's Attorney Kimberly Foxx are under a lot of scrutiny right now for being lax on riots and letting felons off.

But, hey. This is Chicago, so there are no guarantees.

Don't hold your breath if you want blind and equal justice. If you do, you'll soon be saying, "I can't breathe."

I would never write the following event as a plot point in a thriller or political drama.

It might work as comedy, but it's too blatant to bounce other characters off of and be interesting.

Peaceful protesters can protest anywhere they want in Chicago except for the neighborhood where Mayor Lightfoot lives. She's worried there might be rioters among the peaceful protesters and she wants to protect her house and the people in it. 

She backs that up with city cops, too.

As for the neighborhoods of other people, they don't count. For Mayor Lightfoot, peaceful protesters have a Constitutional right to free assembly.

Mayor Lightfoot is a caricature of a caricature.

She's a streetfight-talking composite of Snidely Whiplash and Mr. Magoo.

The man shot was resisting arrest and I've read that he is still alive. It even looks like he was trying to get a weapon from the car. We have to wait and see.

But, to be honest, the facts will not matter to the coming shitstorm.

The optics here could not be worse.

What are officers expected to do in the face of irrational actors? The situation itself is a breeding ground for irrationality.

New footage shows Jacob Blake brawling with cops before being shot

There are quite a few pictures in that article.

I'm not the only one who sees the following story.

1. Blake had a warrant out of his arrest for felonious sexual assault, criminal trespass, and domestic abuse. He also had a record of, among other things, violently resisting arrest and endangering others with a gun while drunk.

2. He was fighting with the cops on the ground before he got up and walked to the driver's side of the car with the cops drawing their guns and trailing him while trying to get him to stop.

3. The way he leaned into the car could easily be seen by the cops--who had been fighting with him--that he was trying to retrieve a weapon.

That's not what the fake news media wants to report, though.

From what I've read, four of the seven shots hit him in the back. One hit his spinal cord and it looks like he might be paralyzed from the waist down as a result.

I think he's lucky to be alive. Instead, others will probably die from riots about this inflamed by paid agents and the media.

I just love watching Tim Pool drift closer and closer...

 

This drift is what stepping out of a core story looks like.

And it took the riots to nail it down. Not even a fake-ass impeachment did it for him. What did? A thug knocking a 70 year old man over the head for trying to save his store and Tim watching Democrats ignoring this and repeating like a parrot peaceful protesters, peaceful protesters, peaceful protesters...

When everything settles, Tim will still have large chunks of his old core story left. It will be the personal stuff, especially his sense of fairness and caring about people.

But he will not longer have blind hero-worship for one side, and the bashing of the other side as villainy as part of it. He will use his own eyes as his moral and story foundations rather than the words of a group.

His heroes will be devoted to fairness and solving real problems while his villains will be power-mongers--and this will be irrespective of group.

That's a hell of a great core story.

That, in fact, is the core story of the American dream.

And it is the core story of Rand's fiction.

I've been watching all this closely since the 2016 election and the pussy parade.  It's devolved into this.  I am glad to see the residents, ordinary people, working people finally begin to stand up however.  We are the only ones who haven't shown up for the party yet.  But we must.  Anyone who thinks cops will be able to handle this when it finally explodes is sadly mistaken.  Militia is necessary.  Prepare.  It's coming fast now.
